Highly recommend Dr. Mathur for your Infectious Disease concerns. Kind and very knowledgeable. Office was clean and staff was friendly and nice.
I saw Dr. Mathur two weeks ago. Upon my initial visit, I was asked not more than two sentences to gather any background information. I printed out 4.5 years worth of blood work ups and many, many physician visits; (two internists; 3 dermatologists, too many ER physic to account for). He did not even come remotely close to having enough time to review any paperwork, (nor did he attempt to), to figure out any sort of cause. He asked me, “what do YOU think it is?” Heh. Sort of why I’ve waited years to come and see someone at your level, but sure.. this is what I think. He mentioned that the ER dr, whom wrote down Dr. Mathurs name in reference to see, called him and “told him about me.” Which, to say the least, was very disheartening for me, as I had an extremely poor experience with the dr in reference. It was clear he either thought I was insane, or simply: making up this disease that has ruined my life and my family’s love for years upon years now. I just received a call. After one very disappointing, short lived, and highly unprofessional visit( he never came back in to conclude the visit with me- showed no interest whatsoever), I was told dr. Mathur didn’t care for a follow up. One 10 minute appointment. One blood culture work up. He.. just said that was that. Dr Mathur, you should be ashamed of yourself and your colleague in which you trusted, who went out of his way to make a mockery of my misfortune, leading to a giant waste of my time. I was counting on you. I was rooting for you much more than you ever intended to root for me. Stick to general medicine. You are a poor example of what this speciality should represent to western medicine. I’ll be filing a complaint with the BBB. My fight is far from over. Best of luck to all else.
You go to a doctor for "what do I have doc".. Not to hear, "well.. This is what you don't have".. Really? No testing? No curiosity? Sorry, but a waste of time if you're looking for "help & a diagnosis".
The staff was kind, polite, prompt and courteous. I found Dr Mathur eased my anxiety and answered all my questions. He is accessible and I recommend him.
The staff is amazing there. brooke (the receptionist) was very attentive with helping me book an appointment, and following up after I saw the doctor. the nurse pardon I forgot her name! She is very understanding and comforting. Dr mathur was very knowledgeable my old primary doctor had only ordered half of the bloodwork and diagnosed me with a disease that I don't have! After explaining that to me he had ordered the full bloodwork I needed to be diagnosed. I am a coward when it comes to bloodwork and after a month of trying to get my self to do the bloodwork i did it and no less than 2 office days was i called with my results from dr dwivedi. I would reccomend any of the doctors at Monmouth infectious disease associates dr lee dr mathur and dr dwivedi
I was treated by Dr.Mathur for my knee infection. Obviously I was scared at first, but I was explained the treatment plan in detail. It was scary to be on iv antibiotics.for 6 weeks but Dr Mathur and his partners were always available when I had a question even if it was Sunday evening. Thanks to their help I am infection free and doing great with my new knee!!
One of the best Infectious Disease doctors, not only in Monmouth County, but in the whole state if NJ. I had gone to many other doctors and Dr. Mathur was able to see and diagnose my illness, where as others failed. He is polite, and up to date with current therapy

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
