Dr Lake is the consummate professional. I’ve received health care across America and it is rare that my experience was so positive with the best surgical outcome a patient could receive. His bedside manner is top notch. Thanks to Dr Lake, I have better quality of life.

Very thorough and nice doctor (doctor ---5 stars). Staff--rude on the phone (in multiple occasions). When I asked for the Office Manager, she said that her secretary was not "rude at all". I work in a doctor's office (and deals with a lot of other MD offices) and I know when a person is rude and not rude on the phone. I know how busy an office can be on a given day, but at the end of the day---we work for the patients and their families, and being "nice" on the phone would mean a lot to the patients and their families.

Misdiagnosed a simple thing and never responds back. Wasted our time and put my mother at risk. She ended up in the hospital with a high fever because of his incompetence.

Dr. Lake is wonderful. My husband had to see him for a pilondonial cyst removal. Doesn’t make you wait, Takes the time to listen and amazing personality. What a breath of fresh air from many surgeons! Highly recommend!! Office staff is friendly too!

From the very first meeting with Dr. Lake, until the most recent ( care is ongoing ), he has been excellent. He has been beyond patient, explains clearly, he's kind, funny, personable, and a terrific surgeon as well. He's got every quality you'd want in a Dr. Absolutely 100% terrific ! The staff is wonderful too ! no need to leave Brick if you want excellence !

I was lying in my hospital bed the first day after my surgery and was in pain. Normally, I expect Dr, Lake to visit me to at least find out how I was feeling but this did not happen. The second and third day past and never saw him at all. On the fourth day, he sent another doctor in his group and I asked him when will I ever see Dr. Lake and his excuse was he is a very busy doctor. This made me so disappointed and I told him bluntly - does he really ever care to find out the result of the surgery he did to his patient? Finally, fifth day he came and I told him the pain I am having and his answer was "of course there will be pain because of your open wound " just like that he said to me - no compassion whatsoever. HIS GROUP TREATS YOU LIKE A NUMBER.

He is the go to guy for other doctors involved in more complicated Colo-rectal surgical procedures I was told by more than one nurse. Compassionate, and attentive -always returned my calls by day's end. And just an all around nice guy.
