List of Henry T. Shih's Reviews
The doctors and staff are amazing.
Dr. Henry Shih is an amazing pediatrician. He has taken care of my oldest child and always makes him smile. He is also very thorough at every appointment we have made. My newborn has just made his first visit and he immediately stopped crying once Dr. Shih picked him up. Dr. Shih gave him a full check up and was able to address all our concerns, some even before we can ask him. Definitely would recommend !
Dr Shih is an amazing doctor, took both my kids to him from the start.
Dr Shih is probably the best doctor out there! Ran into this dad with his two kids at a play place and he lives in a completely different town, but when he started talking about his doctor for the kids I immediately asked him if their doctor was Dr. Shih? We had a good laugh that we are just random strangers that do not live in the same town or anything but share the same love for Dr. Shih. The way he makes both my kids feel like he is a friend before going near them is incredible and how he answers random questions about the kids with his own experience. Life saver and always there!! Can't thank him enough for all he has done for us!
Extremely disappointed with this practice. They misdiagnosed my 1 year old three times by three different providers. We were once told he had a life threatening disease was medicated for it and then later found out it with fifths disease. The nurses never call back and they discriminate against insurance policies if you’re covered by the state. I only gave them a star because 0 wasn’t an option. Find a different doctor.

Dr Shih is wonderful. Listens to questions/concerns and doesnt rush. However, we have had numerous situations where him and Dr Salston give opposite advice or guidance. That's once you get past the witches at the desk. His office staff could use a lesson in manners, common courtesy and ediquette. They are rude, miserable and downright nasty human beings. It's very difficult to work with them from the simplest task of scheduling, all the way to obtaining records. They are the reason we are looking for a new pediatrician, as much as we love the dr.
great doctors here .. they were always super nice and very informative but the ladies in the front desk or far from friendly, i had recieved a call from one of them an hour before my childs appointment telling me i couldnt take him to his appoinment until i paid off the balance i had with them that the payments i have been making dont cut it, i explain to them my current situation she didn't care and for that i will never recommend this place to anyone
Dr Shih is kind, knowledgeable, listens to both the child and the parents concerns and doesn’t order the most expensive tests if you don’t need them. He’s always been there for my kids since birth, and that was 28 years ago for the first one. Some reviews state thar the reviewer have a hard time with the front desk ladies but I have never had any issues with them and they greet my kids by name.
I wish I had followed my Instinct when I thought this wasn’t the right doctor for my son . As A new mom I thought maybe I was over reacting and continued his care here until finally changing his doctor . After going to a new doctor I realized how a pediatric doctor is supposed to be . Doctor Herman always came off as if there are no choices . I am for vaccinations I read up on them however it is a choice and nothing should ever feel forced . My son is up to date however when ever asking about anything I was handed a paper and that was that . No talking about why it is important or just a reassurance to a new mom . A pediatric doctor should understand the concerns from parents . Beyond that everything always felt extremely rushed . He was there to do a job and get it done as fast as possible . With my sons new doctor they will never ask you to hold him down just to check his ears or mouth you should be able to hold your child to make it less traumatic for them . At this office that is what they do & for shots . I felt once he observed that clearly my child would get extremely upset about being held down only to look into ears it shouldn’t have been done again . It added stress to everything for no reason . My son would be screaming his head off and he would still be talking as if I could hear him ?! Other doctor offices don’t do that . I’m not sure if his head was ever measured , I was never told what percentile he was in . I was never told that my insurance would cover his Tylenol . All in one visit with his new doctor I was given all of this info . What topped it off I thought my son may have the flu I was convinced that he did not need the swab for it but needed a swab for strep and he however did know what my insurance didn’t cover of course . To only over hear the nurses saying they didn’t have the flu test in the Office they ran out . For a doctor that pushes the flu shot I should have been informed the truth and been given instructions to get swabbed else where . You want to trust your child’s doctor and not feel like they are there to get you in and out . So extremely disappointed I waited this long to make the change.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
