I used to love Dr. Demos but lately when I come in he’s like mad at the world he has to learn to have better bedside matter he works with the patience and we should be able to trust him

Dr Demos is the BEST PHYSICIAN! He actually listens to and cares about his patients and goes above and beyond! I suffer from chronic migraines and my insurance changed and the new insurance refused to cover the medication that has helped me and he advocated for me and got it approved! I am so grateful to have found such a fantastic physician, highly recommend!

I had recently switched insurance carriers and needed to find a new GP. I called Dr. Demos’ office and set up a check up appointment. A few weeks later, I went to the er with a variety of issues and saw Dr. Demos for a follow up. He found what the ER didn’t - type 2 diabetes. Under his care and with his guidance, I lost 117 lbs and got my health under control. When I went for my physical earlier this year, we discovered my PSA had jumped suddenly. His monitoring and referral saved my life - the prostate cancer has been detected at the earliest possible moment, giving me the highest chance to get treatment to CURE it. I cannot begin to even tell you how much his care has meant to me personally and my family.

I’m filling out paperwork and I read a paper that reads “you consent to receive services not covered by your health insurance provider”. So I ask one of the assistants, and she said it was voluntary. Then Dr. Demos comes from down the hallway YELLING “he has to sign the consent form or I will not see him!” He barges in the room and says, listen to me if you don’t sign this paper you are going to have to see another doctor! Worst doctor visit of my life

Saddened Dr. Sobel left. The group is not the same anymore. I was a patient of Sobel for 20+ years. Called and spoke with L*** who answered she wasn’t helpful and found every reason not to. Just said Dr Demos is out - nothing. Most times the front desk shows minimal empathy or barely breaks a smile. This was the final straw. It’s time to move on. So long Hackensack Meridian.

Receptionist is not helpful and rude.I have been seeing Dr. Demos for a few years now and I cringe when I have to schedule an appointment. The doctor will not speak to you over the phone about any health concerns you may have. They want you to schedule an appointment even when you’ve been to the hospital and they send over your medical report and request further testing, he will not send any referrals for any testing unless you come in first so they can bill your insurance company! I am extremely sick and I was advised to have a sonogram done STAT! Yet, the office is looking to book me an appointment for later in the week just to be seen before he gives me the referral that I am in dire need of. I am completely Devastated over the lack of concern this office has for their patients. They have not attempted to contact me after my medical report was sent to them from the hospital so I had to contact them and beg for a sonogram referral. I end up going to the hospital majority of the times just to get testing done that I need. If you have any underlining health conditions or auto immune disease this is not the place to go to because you will be put on the back burner and end up needing emergency surgery because of their lack of diligence.

Not the same after Dr Sobel retired. Time to find a new doctor.

I was a former patient of another doctor at the same medical group. I figured I would give Demos a try. In my opinion he was curt with, abrupt and dismissive of me. He didn't elect to do my paperwork necessary to get TDI based on the fact that I "walked into the office". I had suffered a bad muscle strain in my back. Oh but sure as sunrise he billed me for an office visit that -- all in all -- amounted to little more than him pointing out the differences between himself and my prior physician, refusing to prescribe certain prescriptions and providing me referrals for care I don't believe he was correct in suggesting -- not after 10 minutes of not even trying to get to know me. #wasteoftime #wasteofmoney
