Dr. Zapiach will answer all your questions with great patience and makes sure you understand. He takes great pride in his work. He also looks at the whole patient health.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zapiach for 10+ years. Besides being a talented surgeon, Dr. Zapiach is kind, friendly and caring. I feel extremely comfortable and at ease knowingly my surgical outcome will be 100%. His office staff are also friendly and compassionate. I met Dr. Zapiach in the emergency room after an accident. The circumstances in which we met were unfortunate, but I consider myself incredibly lucky that Dr. Zapiach was on call that day. When Dr. Zapiach arrived at the hospital to help me, I was immediately put at ease due to his confidence and kindness. Dr. Zapiach is a perfectionist in only the best ways possible. He is thoughtful, meticulous, and so talented. Looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself is very scary, but I am reassured that I will look like my old self again after every visit with Dr. Zapiach. With every procedure that Dr. Zapiach performs, I am so impressed by his expertise. Situations like mine can be very stressful, but every visit to the office is enjoyable due to Dr. Zapiach and the entire staff. The staff is so personable, caring, and kind. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon you will want to take the time to read this review. On Wednesday, 2/22/23 I was in my shop sharpening tools. I had just finished stropping a blade to a beyond razor finish. I was putting a stone on a shelf above the blade when it slipped from my grip. I instinctively tried to catch it, running my thumb down the blade just above the joint. The cut was clearly to bone. I knew I was in trouble because my thumb was completely numb. The first doctor I saw was a certified ER trauma specialist. He would not touch it. He referred me to Dr. Vieira. When the hospital reached out to Dr. Vieira they found he was performing surgery at another hospital. The original plan was to suture my thumb and have me return in a day to have neurosurgery. When Dr. Vieira was finished in surgery, the physicians assistant sent him some pictures of my wound. Dr. Vieira determined that it was better not to delay and came over to perform the surgery. I have worked in hospitals for most of my career. First as a Bio-med tech at a local hospital, and then as a linear accelerator engineer working in cancer centers across the country. From the moment I met Dr. Vieira I felt better about my chances of recovering some sensation in my thumb. Dr. Vieira took the time to answer all of my questions, and there were many. He also thoroughly explained what was involved in the surgery and what the road to recovery would entail. When I woke up from surgery he was there to tell me how things went. He was able to reconnect both nerves in my thumb. He described it as sewing two pieces of tissue paper together. Dr. Vieira stayed until I was about to be released (at 1:00 am) and provided clear instructions to ensure the best outcome. I have been seen by many doctors in my day and I can tell you many of them could learn from Dr, Vieira’s bedside manner. He is pleasant, caring, and skillful. He will advice you on the treatments that make sense for you and will never try to convince you to do something that you don't want. His staff is excellent and very helpful. It is easy to make appointments and get any questions answered. Daniela, Danielle and Kristen are incredible. I highly recommend Kristen's facials.
