Doctor Frankel was lovely to meet with. He explains everything in layman’s terms and gave us an honest assessment of my situation. He recommended more imaging of my spine (I’ve seen a lot of highly regarded surgeons for this problem, and NONE has requested more, DIFFERENT tests), and he recommended I see a rheumatologist to build up my bones before we can consider any further treatment, including possible surgery. Very patient with all our questions, and we never felt rushed. So happy I found him!

Every encounter I have had with Dr Frankel from first visit , to surgery and finally to post op, has been exceptional. Dr Frankel took the time to go over every detail of my MRI with me, explaining issues and answering all my questions with no concern about how long he spent with me. I have not seen this kind of attention from many doctors in a long time. My surgical team explained everything prior to surgery and made me so comfortable that I wasn't nervous going into the OR. The surgery went so much better than I had expected. I didn't need any pain medication after surgery and was able to walk a half mile the day after surgery after 5 months of only being able to walk a half a block with a lot of pain. Several people have asked me for Dr Frakel's contact information after seeing the remarkable change in me from before surgery to only a day after surgery. I would recommend Dr Frankel to anyone looking for an extremely competent and caring neurosurgeon. You will be in great hands!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Frankel & his team. I have stage 4 cancer & needed emergency spinal fusion surgery. I was beyond lucky to have had Dr Frankel do the surgery. I was in hospital for 9 days and Dr Frankel or his PA’s saw me every day keeping me updated on my care and expectations. Dr Frankel is professional , knowledgeable and honest . they also coordinated care with my other doctors . New Jersey Brain & Spine has been very easy to deal with and they always answer questions. So grateful for them all.
