The Best Dr. In New York City. I had surgery 8 year Ago and still feel perfect. If you have Spine problem, call as soon as possible and make an appointment with Dr. Qureshi. If you have Spine problem he has solution. I Harley Recommend.

Dr. Qureshi’s knowledge of the spine is unparalleled. His technical skills as a surgeon are far superior to all others and I’ve met too many to count. He performed minimally invasive, far left lateral L2-3 microdiscectomy surgery on me. He caught the herniation where other top surgeons could not. More than that, he is genuinely kind, caring, respectful, a great listener, explains medical things clearly and concisely, and always helpful. He responds promptly to all communications. I especially like that he is very professional, ethical and a gentleman — qualities that are sadly often missing in today’s society. I had lost trust in surgeons due to an unethical male neurosurgeon at another hospital. But Dr. Qureshi restored my trust. I have great confidence in his medical opinions and have asked him for recommendations for other surgeons. My current surgeon told me that Dr. Qureshi is actually his surgeon too. So Dr. Qureshi is a surgeon’s surgeon. What more can a patient ask for?

He is the best physician I have ever meet and I work in healthcare myself. I wish all doctors put the time, effort, and care like Dr. Qureshi. He is very knowledgeable and really listens to your concerns, goals, and needs. He was able to give my mom her life back after surgery and the only doctor who properly diagnose her after years of chronic pain. He genuinely cares for his patients. If I could I would give more stars, I really would. My family and I are grateful for everything he has done for our mother. Simply the best!!

Can I leave 6 stars? Dr. Qureshi (and his entire staff) is simply extraordinary. His professionalism, care, knowledge, and attentiveness are all unparalleled. And that's before I even get to his skill in the OR. I had spent 3+ years with a herniated disc, consulting expert after expert, with no resolution. A mere matter of weeks after meeting Dr. Qureshi, I had a full diagnosis, a plan of attack, and a successful surgery. My advice: If you have a nagging back injury that is hampering your quality of life, give Dr. Qureshi a call. You'll be glad you did.

I’m not a doctor but I’ve studied at the best universities for science and worked with both doctors and researchers. Dr. Qureshi is undoubtedly the most knowledgeable and skilled in spine surgery. Not only that, he emanates a genuine warmth, compassion, humility and integrity not often associated with surgeons of such high caliber. I wish I was referred to him before I had my cervical spine surgeries done by other surgeons since those necessitated revision surgeries. Dr Qureshi performed a far left lateral lumbar microdiscectomy on me. This particular herniation is often a missed diagnosis by other surgeons unless examined by a meticulous, keen, trained eye such as Dr Q’s or continuous MRI imaging slices of the lumbar spine are done. He used an innovative XLIF approach. Incision was barely visible. I looked like I had a minor papercut in side of my torso only. I was walking immediately upon rising from surgery and my lumbar radiculopathy and paresthesia pain completely vanished. I was dancing and doing yoga within the postop week. I’m able to do split kicks and run again, with zero pain. Everyone thinks he performed a miracle. I was blessed to be referred to him. He has my full endorsement. I’m sorry to read a few reviews below that a few are in pain. I hope they too find relief. Xoxo

He will say that you have an arthritis and not his problem

As a fellow physician, I spent a lot of time researching different neuro and ortho surgeons in the hopes of finding someone thoughtful and skilled. I can't express enough how glad I am that I chose him. His skill is unparalleled, his ability to explain the diagnostic and therapeutic picture is impressive without once feeling like he was strained for time, and his bedside manner is confident yet warm. 2 years out of surgery, my back is still 100% pain free and I'm fully functional in every capacity (after almost 2 decades of pain and limitation)!

Made an appointment more than 60 days ago. Waited for 50 minutes. Asked if available in the next 15 minutes. Answer was we have had a busy day ie no answer. I left.

Dr Qureshi was outstanding as well as everyone at HSS, from registration to discharge I was beyond impressed with the level of care I received.
