For me she has been excellent, just by looking at my face she knew I had pre-cancerous spots, she immediately treated them there on the first appointment and she has done so both times I have gone. My husband was also found to have a cancerous mole which he then sent to a surgical specialist for removal. She is very professional.

My mom came here truly concerned about her skin on her hands and feet. I figured a dermatologist should be consulted since the areas were severely cracking even with moisturizer on and causing pain. Talk about bedside manner. Some empathy even if you didn’t have any solution to offer would’ve been nice. I paid $50 copay to hear that I should put “crazy glue” on the cracks of my hands and feet. This was with Dr Almeida. Truly brought me to tears that crazy glue seriously was my solution and I leave a specialists office truly looking for help just to be told to do what I was already doing and pay $50 on top. I was told to follow up after two weeks of Vaseline on the skin which I was already doing. Why would I do a follow up again with this doctor who couldn’t advise more than crazy glue the first time. I did ask if she was joking and nope she was being serious. Also, she said she had too many patients and couldn’t wait for me to remove the nail polish as she preferred. So that’s great, don’t do a thorough exam and do give me a few more minutes even though I waited weeks for this appointment. Healthcare is saddening in 2022. This is not the first time and it’s hard to find a gem of physician that cares more about their patients than their room turnover time. Won’t be coming back to see Dr Almeida

Always very rushed. Appointments are scheduled every ten minutes and you barely get ten minutes even for a full body check.

Horrible staff, very rude.

Each year I see Dr. Almeida I feel that she is rushing me, or that I am taking up too much of her time. She literally spends only seconds looking my skin over. I mentioned a skin tag to her and she said I could have it removed and she continued the exam. Then she ends the exam, and says, "Oh doesn't seem like you want it removed today. You can always come back" and she leaves hurriedly.

She was very professional and I appreciated her candor. The doctor listened to my concerns. I will be returning soon.

Irresponsible staff I conducted Laila Almedia for my pigmentation problem and she spent hardly 5 minutes. She prescribed face cream which gave me rashes on my skin. I called clinic and left voice mail that I got rashes and no one has gave me follow up call.

I had a terrible experience with this Dr. I will never come here again. I brought my just turned 4 year old daughter in bc there was a thick crusty scab on top of her head. Her pediatrician suggested I bring her to the dermatologist as he did not know what it was. She soaked the scab in a gauze pad with hydrogen peroxide and proceeded to take the scab off of her head while removing all the hair under and over the scab. The size of a half dollar. Imagine your hair being ripped from your head with no lidocaine or local anesthetic. Needless to say, my daughter was in hysterics from the pain. She first said “this isn’t what I expected it to be, can I show my colleague.” I said of course. Before doing so, She asked if my daughter had hit her head recently. I said two months ago she had fallen but she didn’t suffer any bruises or bleeding and was evaluated by a doctor. She said that’s what it’s from then and didn’t even biopsy it. I brought my daughter to two dermatologists after who said that she never should have went about removing the scan like this and that she should have biopsied it. They also said that they do not believe it was due to a fall. Moreover, my daughter now has a bald spot on the top of her head that is clearly visible. She now has to undergo surgery as several drs have said that no hair will grow. We do not want her to be bullied in school as children continually ask her why she doesn’t have hair there. She went to Dr. Almeida one year ago and there has been no hair growth. Needless to say, I will never go to this practice again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.

I go just once a year for follow-up and sadly always expect to have a long wait. But this last time I waited an hour and a half and the waiting room was empty when I got there - all to see the doctor for literally 2 minutes. That was the last time I am dealing with an office that does not have consideration for their patients.

I love her. I went to tons of different dermatologist, not one could help me. I found Dr Almeida. She has solved every problem and with a wonderful caring smile. I recommend her to everyone.
