List of Shankar Srinivasan Md's Reviews
Dr Srinivasan is absolutely amazing. I was at a point in my life where nothing was helping me get better. I was so discouraged. He encouraged me to focus on coping with the changes instead of trying to force it back to “normal”. It made a world of difference. I am back to work and feeling so, so much better. I genuinely don’t know how I would be doing without Dr Srinivasan and his team. I will be forever thankful. I highly recommend him and his team.
My family has seen Dr. S for over 10 years now. Whenever someone in my family has been in "crisis" he has made time in his schedule to see us that same day. We have been able to schedule appointments, whether for in -person or telehealth, at times that work for us. Dr. S is a truly kind caring doctor, that I feel cares about my family and their mental health. I have been happy using ICPC.
I got my life back Dr Srinivasan and his staff that run the IOP and PHP programs are amazing. I got sick last year. I had so many neuro symptoms that no one could diagnosis. I could not function physically or mentally or emotionally. I felt like I hit a brick wall. He listened. He encouraged me to try the IOP just to learn to cope with all that was happening with my health. Not only did I learn to cope better, the more I opened up about it the less acute symptoms I had. My anxiety just highlighted my symptoms so much that I couldn’t separate the symptoms from the anxiety. I finished the IOP and still see Dr S regularly. It took a lot of work but my symptoms are much less. I understand what they are and I don’t have to panic. Dr S is remarkable. I am back driving, back at work- which I thought was impossible! Best of all I am back to being the mom my kids know and love. I know my life would not have been the same had I not found Dr S. I will be eternally thankful to him and his team.
Was very depressed tried several dr and it was Dr Srinivassin that found the right combination of meds. Been living life as if I never had depression- thank you Dr Srinivassin
This so called doctor (Shankar Srinivasan) DESTROYED my daughter’s life - past present and future. When my lovely daughter experienced anxiety, loneliness and “sad waves”at 12 years old, I took her to S, which turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life and I only realized many years later. He listened to her briefly and labelled her as “depression” and started putting her on psychiatric medication. Never did he give me a treatment plan nor explained potential side effects and what and how to monitor at home. He then put my daughter on Wellbutrin XL 300 mg when she was 13 years old - this is the maximum adult dose carrying MANY side effects hindering her physical emotional and mental development through her entire adolescence of the next 4.5 years. I only found out years later that Wellbutrin was never approved by FDA for children and 300 mg dose is way too high given their light body weight which explains many pains and symptoms that my daughter experienced from 8th grade on. There are very few follow up visits, only by phone, during which he only asked “is she OK?” and never checked anything more and then send automatic refill orders (90 day supply) to the drugstore. Each call last 2 to 3 minutes. He then made another fatal mistake by adding Ritalin, another stimulant on top of Wellbutrin 300 mg when my daughter was at 15. He added Ritalin because my daughter said “I can’t focus” during one of the telephone follow up. He never screened my daughter for ADHD but put her on Ritalin the controlled substance for over 2 years. My daughter suffered so much in her 10th, 11th and 12th grades including acne, anorexia, sleeping disorder, high anxiety, halted growth, emotional blunting, social withdrawal, and executive dysfunction impacting her studies and life in general. Never once did S mention any plan of tapering and discontinuing now that she was on Wellbutrin 300 mg for 4 years (with Ritalin combination for 2 years). He just sent refill orders. I never realized these horrible mistakes until early this year but the damages are done to my dearest daughter. I cannot forgive myself for trusting this so call doctor and now my dearest daughter my heart my treasure is in shamble both physically and mentally, her youth from 13 to 18 robbed and her otherwise bright future dimmed. She is only 18 and may have a difficult life path ahead of her. My heart is broken in 100 pieces every waking moment and also in my nightmares, and I am recording this history in my heart blood for the world to see.
Great psych... Been going to him over a decade without an issues. think most people here who are rating low don't comprehend that a psychiatrist is not a psychologist or therapist and if you're not having issues with your meds there is no reason to have a 45 min session, they tend to book extra time just in case you are having an issue..if you want to talk for 45min instead get a therapist
Dr Srinivasan is very easy to speak with ! I just don’t like that he doesn’t put any refills on my Meds .. I have to see him once a month and pay another $50 .. I can afford it
Good doc! Has helped me find balance, and find medicines that work.
Doctor Shankar Srinivasan is the only doctor that takes his occupation seriously in America. I recommend him always. My name is Edward Bergman
Worst place ever. Been trying over a week to get refills. Have only been going because only one that takes my insurance !

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
