Had the pleasure of working with Emily, the Kindred rep at St Barnabas. My family & I would like to say thank you so much for your assistance with my sisters immediate transfer from St Barnabas to Kindred Hospital. Her progress has been amazing at Kindred. Throughout this journey Emily was a light in time of darkness. We can not thank you enough for looking out for our sister & facilitating a quick & orderly transfer. Worst hospital ever, they treat you poorly especially if you are off African descent….. The Asians that work there are the worst yelling at people for no apparent reason letting other folks skip in line smh not cool at all….

I wanted to thank Devon, Kristi, Tina, Fernando, Janice, Sam, and everyone else who came in my room for taking care of me. i am much better than when I got here. I hope I do not get COVID again because it was horrible

The staff here was so caring and compassionate and always willing to hel. Dr Wahba assured me from day 1 that he would get me better and within a week i was off the oxygen tubes. Janice, Manny, Robyn, everyone was kind and considerate and here to help.

I just want to thank Jen Antigua ,Tina, Molly, Janice, Matt, Manny, Saj, Rose, Carol, Remy,Fernando I just wanted to thank all of you for always answering questions and going beyond your normal duties to help me and making my stay here runs smooth as possible!

First of all I'm a health care professional and I was impressed by the dedication displayed by the staff. The care at Kindred is awarding. If u decide to sent your love ones to this facility u will not be disappointed. My father was at this facility and left in such an improved state. Special thanks to nurse Rose and nurse Faith on 5W, u are truly great nurse's !! Thanks a million to all the team members which made his progression possible .

My dad was at this facility for over a month. During his stay, I had the pleasure of working closely with numerous people here at Kindred who deserve an outstanding shout out because of the way they communicated with me. My father and I are best friends and we could not be closer. I only want good hearted people with quality care delivery involved in his care. I thank God for all who have gotten him to his next point in his recovery, but these names I mention here are those people who stood out the most to me:Sara in admissions. She was my therapist in most cases when I was having a panic attack not knowing what was happening to my dad. She goes above and beyond and has a heart of gold. I’ll be here all day talking about how special she is and how much I appreciate her communication. Thank you Sara!!Valerie the social worker. We need to clone her and put her in every facility. I’m not kidding. What a wonderful, hard working, smart, and dedicated worker she is. Valerie thank you for all you’ve done for my dad and for my family I will never forget you.Wei in admissions. Wei, you are the sweetest, kindest woman I’ve ever had the pleasure to talk to. Your communication skills are perfect. As much as you are perfect in your current role, I also wish you were a nurse, because you have a heart of gold. Thank you for always helping out and being amazing. I’ll never forget you.Marisol, I’m so sorry if I spell your name wrong, one of my dads respiratory therapists. Always communicating with me, working closely with my dad, and so sweet. I can ask her anything without feeling like I’m bothering her, she never made me feel rushed. Thank you for working so closely with my dad and communicating with me the way you did. Thank you SO much, you were and are a blessing.Nancy the wound care nurse. Nancy also dealt with my meltdown when I found out my dad had multiple wounds on his body from the ICU. Besides the Fantasic work she did on my dads wounds, she also communicated with me. I can’t thank her enough for that. Nancy thank you so much for everything you’ve done.Christie in patient relations. I did not get to know you too well because you had to leave but you also dealt with my meltdown when I was so stressed. Thank you so much, hope you are well.Faith the nurse. Faith you stand out above everyone. You also need to be cloned lol. Faith you are the best nurse I’ve ever known in my life and I myself am a nurse, so I can officially make that judgement. Even when my dad was not faiths patient, if my dad was crying out for something (usually pain because his legs are sore) she ran in and assessed his needs. Do you know how much that means to someone like me who couldn’t be closer to their father? You took care of him above and beyond. You chose the right profession, every nurse should be just like you. Please never forget the impact you made on my father, myself, and my whole family. I will praise you to everyone forever for everything you’ve done for him every shift. Thank you SO much. I’m never going to stop thanking you and I’m never ever going to forget you Faith. Thank you.Other nurses who come to mind who were so sweet to me on the phone and showed so much compassion as they gave me an update on my dad would be Reggie, Remy, Sam, Samantha, Ruby, Christie, John, Hannah, and Valerie. Thank you for always answering my questions about my dad and keeping in mind that I’m not all there in my head as I once was before my family was hit with this disaster. Thank you for caring for him.I did not hear much from doctors except all but one. That would of been nice to hear from them, but the nurses made up for their lack in communication with family.Would I recommend this place? Yes. Was there a once in a while hiccup with someone with poor communication skills?? Yup. But that is everywhere. Those few people may suck at communication but they will deliver quality care to your loved ones. I would recommend this place. I hope you and your loved ones never need it.Thank you.Maria D
