As an immigrant, a new American, a new mother & a second language English speaker, I was concerned that I would not be able to communicate effectively about a serious medical issue. I cannot express my gratitude for your care & dedication & concern for my young daughter. I understood everything, every step of the way. Dr. De Bruin is the most professional, dedicated, hardworking, patient-centered, empathetic & intelligent pediatrician I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I could not be more grateful for the care that he provided for one of my daughters in her infancy just after birth with a complex medical problem. In spending 3-days / 2-nights at St. Joseph's Hospital in Patterson, NJ, I almost thought Dr. De Bruin lived at the hospital because he spent so much time there focused on the health, welfare & care of his patients. It was like he never left – late at night, early in the morning & on weekends. As a worried parent of a sick young infant, Dr. De Bruin provided a sense of confidence that we were in the best of hands, and could not ask for better, more competent or more caring help than that of his & his staff. On top of that, Dr. De Bruin's team of nurses is second to none, and in a special way, I'd like to thank Bre Gillen, Pam Rivera, Carissa DiMattia & Dr. De Bruin's residents, Drs. Clare Bostros & Jaimee Bogusz. It was such a blessing to have the standard of care provided for my child & I could not be more grateful.
