Dr. Hoffman is NOT a Pediatric Dentist. He does not possess NJ State Certification in this Specialty and has not completed appropriate post-doctoral training to qualify as such.
What a pleasant environment. Nestled off a main road in a rural area of Pennington, NJ sits a white frame house. If not for the big sign on the main road pointing toward the house, one would never imagine that this is actually a dental office. Inside, the waiting room is just as quaint. The walls are elegantly decorated by half wood panels and half wall paper. It is the picture of an old rustic small town doctors office, and the receptionist is a friendly young lady with a pretty smile. Our visit today is for one of my teenage daughters teeth cleaning. The visit was short, and the service excellent.
They are excellent as far as ability. Their prices are average for the area. Here's the problem with them and the reason for the bad rating on helpfulness -- they are not, shall we say, concerned about patient pain. I had a root canal done on a tooth that apparently had a bad infection in it. I cannot easily describe the pain level. I've had other painful things in life, including two broken bones... neither one compared. It was paralyzing pain, which returned in spades as the Novacane wore off. They didn't want to give ANY pain medication. Eventually they gave "Tylenol #3" -- it didn't do much and I learned it's about the weakest prescription pain med out there. I called the next day and was to, in essence, "take Motrin and tough it out." WTF? I'm not some junkie trying to abuse meds... they obviously know I'm suffering from an infected root canal. Is it too much paperwork to write a script for something that would actually remove the pain??! FAIL!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
