Eric Wimmers, Md's Online Review Report Card

I cannot say enough about Dr. Wimmers and his staff. July of 2018 I had been in a terrible, terrible car accident. I had essentially been scalped.. artery and nerve damage... brain bleed... all of it. Dr. Wimmers was the surgeon who responded to the trauma and saved my life. That day could have ended very differently had it not been for his skill and dedication to his field. I am so beyond thankful to and for him. And definitely cannot say enough about his team. Just wonderful folks. Recently I had needed a letter of clearance to be able to give birth in light of the work done that day, and considering this was something that happened 7 years ago, the staff went above and beyond in helping me to connect with Dr. Wimmers and get all the necessary documentation. Everyone is so kind and patient and professional. Go with this practice. You won't regret it.

Dr. Wimmers has an ego that creates a very unprofessional attitude to the patient. His ego took precedence over admitting he could or should have done more to avoid the complications I experienced. His need to be right (along with a smug smile and not-at-all-humble brag of how skilled he is as a surgeon) was more important than making the patient feel comfortable and understand the situation. Would never recommend Dr. Wimmers to anyone!

Excellent surgeon Dr. Wimmers is the epitome of what a good surgeon should be. He checked all the boxes for me which is why I didn't feel the need to get a second opinion. 1. He is a skilled surgeon. 2. Has been performing DIEP flap procedures for several years. 3. Has an excellent bedside manner - patiently answered all my questions (and I had a LOT of questions!). 4. Great listener who remembered all the details I shared with him about my health history.If it hadn't been for Dr. Wimmers' patience, I would've had an implant-based reconstruction because I was very worried about the DIEP flap surgery and changed my mind 10 times in the seven month gap between my double mastectomy and DIEP flap. He calmly told me at the pre-op that even if I didn't have enough belly tissue, he would do the surgery as planned and would be prepared to do multiple surgeries later if needed, until I was happy. Those words meant a lot to me. I would highly recommend him to any breast cancer patient.

He looked out for his patient and that's why my reconstructed breasts are made with my own tissue and I don't have foreign objects in my body like silicone implants. I am impressed with his clinical judgement, dedication and patience. So I would definitely recommend him to any cancer patient who is considering DIEP flap surgery for breast reconstruction. DIEP flap is a major surgery with a tough recovery, but it's the best option for women who have to go through the trauma of losing their own breasts.

Dr Eric Wimmers and his staff are very nice and helpful. I like the environment around them. They really up to their task and do their best to reconstruct my right leg. I m strongly recommend Dr Wimmers and Capital Health Hopewell.

This office is amazing, from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very and helpful staff member, my anxiety level immediately dropped, 😂, and as the appointment proceeded it just got better and better, every staff member greeted you with a very pleasant smile, and hello, even if you were just passing them in the hallway, this may sound irrelevant to some, but I feel a very pleasant and professional staff makes you feel confident that you you choose the right practice! Once Dr. Wimmer entered the office, he was very compassionate and sympathetic to my problem, and he makes you feel that he truly cares about you and will do everything possible to give you the best care possible. Once in the scheduling office, I was made to feel like I was a top priority. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. What a breath of fresh air to enter a doctors office that is not only spotlessly clean, but 100% of the staff and the doctor are so professional and caring ♥️ I am actually looking forward to my next visit 😂

Had we not selected this practice we can’t imagine what would have happened. Dr. Wimmers and staff were responsible for all of my success. I could always count on Dr. Wimmers to be there 24 hours a day. His skill level and expertise along with his bedside manner is completely remarkable.
