He is knowledgeable and was kind when we went to see him. He spent a good amount time with us when he was in the office. But once my husband went into hospice, that was it. We never heard from him or his office after that. When he passed away, we heard nothing, It would have been nice to have had some support from him during my husband’s difficult passing. His staff is wonderful. The hospice team was amazing! I will always be grateful for their help and compassion.

While a patient at KU Med. I had a team of doctors that came and went during my stay. I had a brain tumor removed. This is the Oncology doctor they sent me to. It has been a month since my surgery. I was to start chemo and radiation on Monday Dec.10,2018. To find out this doctor and his nurse DID NOT get my chemo medication order or put in to my insurance.You would thought that my medication would have been ordered and sent to me, right on time for my treatment. So I didn't get to start my radiation treatment. I really thought that KU was going to stay on top of my case. I am 24 years old have never been sick in my life. This should not happen to anyone! Now I know why people seek other cancer centers.

Oh my goodness, he is wonderful! I have seen many doctors since being diagnosed with brain cancer, and most have been wonderful, but Dr. Salacz is at the top! I have only had my initial appointment, but at no time did I feel rushed or like a number. He took 1 hour and 15 minutes with me. He would explain things medically and then come back and explain in layman's terms. He asked numerous times if I had questions. I was extremely impressed, and I have a new addition to my cancer team!

After your first few visits with Dr.salacz you will only see his nurse practitioner. He will not come in to see you. I have seen him once in my last four appointments. Absolutely unacceptable. They try to put you off. I've had brain cancer twice. It's not like I'm trying to annoy him. I need to find a new doctor.

I have had brain cancer for 10 years and never been treated with the respect and compassion that is received when visiting with Dr Salacz. he has given me new hope and saved my life! very pleasant and ALWAYS makes sure you are fully educated on your situation before he leaves the room, and STILL has a 10 min or less wait time in the waiting room. He is an angel!
