List of Shyashmere Sengupta's Reviews
Supportive and professional throughout my high-risk pregnancy. Delivered a healthy child.
Dr. Sengupta is an EXCEPTIONAL doctor. We had two high risk pregnancies and she delivered two healthy children. Dr. Sengupta cares deeply about her patients and their babies. My friend is a nurse at St. Peter's and tells me that the medical staff all try to get her as a doctor because she is the best. We are forever thankful to Dr. Sengupta. She even came in on her day off to deliver one child because she knew I would be more comfortable. Excellent, competent, compassionate. Worth the wait.
If I could give her less than 1 star I would. Had an ultrasound scheduled with her through my regular doctors office. I will NEVER go to her again and I strongly recommend changing your appointment if you have one with her. She is nasty, arrogant, will not answer questions, and seems to be offended when you stand up for yourself and tell her she needs to stop, which I did. She also said she wasn't going to tell me what was going on during the ultrasound bc she needed to do whatever she was doing. This is my 2nd child and every ultrasound tech I have ever had has always had the screen facing me and talked me through the entire thing. This woman made this appointment so incredibly uncomfortable that I immediately contacted the hospital she's affiliated with to let them know of the incredible unprofessional way in which she conducted herself. I have no idea where she obtained her license to practice medicine, however, she shouldn't be allowed to.
Super long wait time although you have an appointment time. They don't have a voicemail on phone and do not pick up phones Will not recommend
very dedicated to patients
She was so patient to explain me everything.
After having three miscarriages- it was hard to trust your own body and doctors. When it was recommended that i see her- our whole life changed. Each appointment is at least one hour period - but once you see her- you will know why. She takes care of you and your baby. Now i have two children who are now teenagers - and thats because of her. I never thought i will be able to have my own children - and now i have two. Thank you Dr. Sengupta - you are truly an Angel.
I saw her while visiting focus obstetrics group in edison for my usg. After discovering on usg that I had twins she immediately advised usg once every two weeks. My insurance doesnt cover usg and the priceper usg is $270. She is a very polite, knowledgeable and intelligent dr. But her advice made me uneasy. At that rate we would be in medical debt even before the babies would have arrived. She gave similar advice of weekly usg to my friend who had a miscarriage. This is the only reason I donot trust in her.
I was pregnant with twins. After my first usg at 12 weeks dr sengupta advised usg once every two weeks. It sounded ridiculous. So i changed my gynec. He was cool through the pregnancy and ordered usg only when needed. I strongly advice taking a second opinion if dr. Sengupta orders similar procedure for you unless you are fine paying $250/ usg every 2 weeks through the entire course of your pregnancy.
I Don't see any issues with this doctor. she is very experience and attends the patients with politeness and kind.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
