I’m very thankful with Dr Barsoum , last November Dr Snyder was doing a procedure in my heart with stents and for some reason Dr Barsoum was watching trough the window I having a complication there .. my artery qas having a rupture , so Dr Barsoum nook the window and asked my dr if he can coming and my Dr said yes .. I was surprised that my dr live Dr Baroum take the lead of the surgery but was what happened after my first stent , so he started to work very quickly I was able to see him moving fast with his hands until he stopped the bleeding later he keep working and add 3 more stents . I was very aware of what was happening a procedure that was supposed take 1/2 hours took more then 2 hours . But I’m very thankful with this wonderful Dr because I consider that he save my life .. I always was thinking to go to thank him but some times is not easy make a quick appointment and I don’t live near his prescribe . But I want thank him for his great work that he did and for save my life !

Dr Barsoum is great calm, respectful and knowledgeable. The rating is due to his billing/health insurance staff member who was condescending and did not understand that my Emblem Health/Qual Care insurance was Qual Care in NJ and the City of New York name on my card meant I worked for the City University of New York as a respected College Professor. Point in fact I was given Dr Barsoum information through a call with my health insurance. In sum she did not allow me to make an appointment because it seemed she thought I Iwas a mad woman trying to do health insurance fraud.

Dr Barsoum is a great doctor but the office billing staff treated me like a common criminal because they insisted my health insurance was not valid for their office. Second visit although my health insurance was verified by a call from health insurance company I was again treated like a pest with scant courtesy. I am beginning to think to it is a racial issue. I had to show an updated insurance card and was told to wait for a call for an appointment although I was in the office. After having an altercation with the staff I was given an appointment for 2 weeks ...Wow this is the way new patients are treated? I will return because the doctor is very pleasant and the office is close to my home.
