Wonderful, down to earth Dr. She made me feel at ease and has a very good bedside manner. Would highly recommend Dr. Swelund .

Dr. Swedlund has performed my colonoscopies since 2006. She has been thorough and all in all a great doctor. In 2010 I convinced my husband John, 62 to get his first colonoscopy. He was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and today he is healthier than he's ever been. Dr. Swedlund saved his life.

Best doctor. Absolute BEST.

I have been a long-time patient of Dr. Swedlund, and cannot say enough good things about her. She was able to diagnose my issue when other Dr.’s could not. She is brilliant, and goes above and beyond to help find the cause of the problem. Thank you, Dr. Swedlund!!

Tried to make new patient appt. this morning and asked whether they are accepting new patients. They said yes as does the website. They asked for my insurance which I said was Medicare and United Healthcare as secondary under The Empire Plan. Since they never heard of this they said I had to speak with Business office to confirm acceptance, and was transferred to voicemail. Left message but decided to call insurance provider myself to confirm acceptance at this office. Empire Plan confirmed acceptance and also that new patients are accepted. I called office again to tell them this and my frustration at not being able to speak to business office, which they did then connect me to. Business office person confirmed insurance and transferred me back to office to make appt. Office said I had to speak with doctor's staff for appt. and so transferred me to one of them who I told about insurance being confirmed and asked for new patient appt. She put me on hold and then came back to say no new patients were being accepted!! Why could they not have told me this during my first call to office instead of making me spin wheels and time to confirm insurance --- unless maybe they are screening out Medicare patients as new patients for this doctor? The whole experience was a horrible waste of time and made me feel like they just don't care about patients or new patients. In retrospect I'm glad they didn't accept me because I found another great doctor who made appt in 5 minutes!!!

Really good doctor and a fabulous person. Dr. Swedlund has been a godsend in getting my 'gut' back on track. Her style is to eliminate potential issues by a process of elimanation - taking into account both family history and testing. Thanks doc!

When your blood pressure dropped to 67/43 and got pain all over the body due to unexplained, none-stop diarrhea, and was on the verge of damaging your kidney and heart functions, and was checked into ER to get hydrated via IV, guess who came to your MCU ward to visit you early at 6am to review all the lab details in the computer? After all the team doctors and consulting physicians on your case visited you ONCE or NONE at all during your 11 days of your hospitalization, all walked away after a mere comment, "it is not bacterial", "it is not the kidney", "we will pump more potassium and magnesium and you are likely to go home today", guess whe continues to come into my ward every morning at 6am to check into the hospital computer to analyse the lab results and was determined to figure out what went wrong with the patient when the cause of the diarrhea was not certain? It can only be the marvelous, superb Dr Swedlund. Everyday she communicated with her colleagues, other consulting physicians and her own husband to try to figure out the reason of the illness, not just to treat the symptoms of the illness. Dr. Swedlund's genuine concern of the her patients, true dedication to medical profession, and her brilliant insights in her field saved my life. She is the ONLY ONE specialist among all hopsital physicians who stayed on my case every single day with continuous lab work when, after two weeks after I checked out of hospital, some of the lab results were still pending, which was an amazing fact to say the least. While Dr. Swedlund was waiting for those lab results to pin-point the problem, she just promptly issued new scripts to repeat those tests so her patient can be more appropriately treated with speedy recovery. Such a compassionate person is Dr. Swedlund, no matter challenging her own daily medical practice and responsibility will be, that she manage to find time to read my daily email report to her and give me instructions daily as to how to taper off certain meds and how to stay hydrated through what over the counter. She saved my life. I don't think you will find a finer specialist and a better person than Dr. Anne Swedlund! She lives and works with passion. My family loves her and we owe her for the rest of my life. I wanted to be a better person and I have so much to learn from her. To be always fascinated by the problem and be a true problem solver. We solute you, Dr. Swedlund!

After I had a procedure done, performed by her, she blabbed the results of what she found to the person who had driven me to the appointment. This would have been objectionable under any circumstance, but to make matters worse, I had explicitly stated in my paperwork that my medical information was to be given to NO ONE. Additionally, she blabbed the information in the waiting room, in front of other patients. UNACCEPTABLE! Never before have I had this kind of experience with a doctor. I definitely will NOT be back.

Two years I was hospitalized with pneumonia and a non-working gallbladder. No one in the hospital was able to connect the dots and figure out I had Legionnaire's disease. It was a good thing I spoke with Dr. Swedlund before I let them take my gall bladder out as an outpatient. She said my symptoms didn't add up and had me take a blood test for Legionnaire's. Dr. Swedlund nailed it, saving my gallbladder from unnecessary surgery. She's truly a community treasure.
