As a psychiatrist myself, I am truly disgusted by how Dr. Maddaiah and this clinic (AAMH) has treated my mother recently. After my mom was discharged from the hospital, the social worker told me that Dr. Maddaiah accepted the patient back. But during her appointment Dr. Maddaiah says "I can't treat her anymore." And basically ABANDONS my mom, and provides no refills or guidance!!This is against the ethics of our profession. If a patient is transitioning to a new clinic, your trained to ALWAYS give a 3 month supply and make sure the patient WON'T DECOMPENSATE till then.My mom's injection is due in about one week and when it wears off she will likely decompensate again. We have been calling every morning to different clinics/psychiatrists with no hope in sight.I can tell when a psychiatrist doesn't care about the well being of her established patients and this lady needs to retire from Psychiatry. She should of never been a psychiatrist. COMPLETE GARBAGE.
Thos is an ok place friendly staff,
This place is terrible. Every time I called the front desk no one answered. I was assigned a case manager, when I called her, she did not answer either. She would sometimes respond to my texts. Same with the intake lady who said I could call her anytime. All of that is redeemable, not too big of a deal. But the nail in the coffin for me was talking to the "doctor" here. She was rude and short with me, had no interest in listening to anything I had to say regarding my experience or my opinions on anything. She was judgmental, and acts like a know it all. If you know what you are looking for, and know what works for you, do not seek this doctor because her opinion is the only thing that is valid. I have been prescribed a litany of medication over my life and I know what works for me and what doesn't. She wouldn't hear any of it.Zero stars.
Excellent place to treat your mental illness. The staff is wonderful and the counselors are very capable and emphatic.
Awful experiences here. My son and daughter were both patients here a few years ago, and the best thing I ever did for them was find a new therapist. The psychiatrist (Gail) was terrible and demeaning. They changed therapists constantly - every time the kids got comfortable with one, they were forced to see another.
This is a great place to get your needs met for pediatric patients as well as adults. They provide psychiatry (to monitor prescribed medication) and therapy sessions. The receptionists are warm and helpful and the rest of the staff are the same. I did not experience any judgement only helpful employees that go above and beyond. It's scary to let your guard down and talk about your private issues but the staff at AAMH make you feel so comfortable that you feel you can trust them.
don't even think this place cares about you. they have no problem all going on vacation whiteout anybody there to take care of any thing including meds for a week.AFTER THEY GET YOU ADDICTED!!!!!! #0 stars
