List of Andrew Costin's Reviews
Dr. Costin is simply the best cardiologist I have ever met. He is tireless in finding the most appropriate course of treatment for his patients and their particular heart issues. He has treated my husband, who has very challenging heart failure, for over 20 years. When I accompany my husband to an appointment, we both know that we will leave with an immediate plan for improving my husband's heart function and his quality of life.
Dr. Costin is very knowledgeable, caring and listened to my concerns. He is very good in explaining procedures and he is patient in answering questions in language that I can understand. While I was on a heart monitor and my heart rate became irregular, he tried to contact me to get me to the ER. (The one day I left my phone at home and he didn’t have my work #) When he was unable to connect with me, he sent the police and emergency team to my house to make sure I was alright! He is great and I am glad he is on my team of health care providers!
Great doctor! Remarkably intelligent, knowledgeable, caring, and easy to talk to. Doctor Costin makes sure he explains clearly all the records and medications, and is always willing to answer questions. He is a true listener and his engagement with patients is thorough. I have been a patient for many years now, and I am deeply grateful to him. His team is most efficient and pleasant.
Excellent cardiologist and easy to talk to, always has time to explain what is going on and why. Great ties to specialists at University of Penn cardiology.
Dr. Costin spent a great deal of time with us, explaining things in a most knowledgeable, understandable way. He is compassionate and truly cares about his patients both medically and emotionally. I would recommend him to anyone.
After a cardiologist recommended an invasive procedure, I consulted Dr. Costin for a second opinion. He examined the results from the earlier tests, patiently explained them to me, and pointed out potential accuracy issues with the stress test that indicated a problem. Given my age and history, he suspected I was fine but recommended a superior stress test to confirm. He was right and called me himself with the news! Dr. Costin is truly exceptional and saved me from a needless, risky procedure.
After another cardiologist hesitantly recommended an invasive procedure, I consulted with Dr. Costin as a second opinion. He examined the results from the preceding round of tests, patiently explained them to me, and pointed out potential accuracy issues with the stress test that indicated a problem. Given my age and history, he suspected I was fine, but recommended a superior stress test to confirm. He was right and called me himself with the good news. Dr. Costin is truly exceptional and kind!
Dr. Costin is compassionate, a great listener, willing to adapt to my needs. However, getting to him to set an appointment is a nightmare, to the point that I've cancelled appointments, unfortunately also a nightmare. Princeton Medical probably is the problem.
I appreciate his facility to adapt to my needs and his ability to keep me informed on my issues. He's down to earth. He does not push for treatment. I do not appreciate the fact that I cannot call his office directly, a painfully long process that cannot set an appointment without calling me back. Staff on phone is not courteous at all times.
I was a patient at both the Cleveland Clinic and UPenn and you're missing out if you don't utilize Dr. Costin as a regular cardiologist. He came highly recommended by both facilities, hence, why he is my primary cardiologist. The man is thorough and not an alarmist. Extremely knowledgeable and fantastic bed side manner. I was slightly hesitant to give this review out of selfishness. But I understand that finding a great cardio md is stressful so here you go. Everyone I've referred loves him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
