Dr. Shanahan has been my Cardiologist since March 31, 2008 at which time he was the physician who treated me when I was taken to the hospital with a STEMI heart attack in progress. Thanks to his attentiveness and expeditious thoroughness I suffered no discernable heart damage and have been able to resume a fully active life. I find him to be cordial, compassionate and engaged. He is very willing to spend time listening to my concerns, he asks focused questions and he fully explains his findings and recommendations. I honestly feel quite fortunate to have had him as my first point of medical intervention back then and fully appreciate the on-going quality of medical care that he brings to my follow-up appointments. My heartfelt (ok- pun intended) thanks to you Dr. Shanahan!

Absolutely the best. A fabulous diagnostician. He quickly diagnosed my problem which resulted in a quadrupal bypass almost 19 years ago. He puts complex issues into plain English and has a thoughtful and caring bedside manner. I continue to do well and am very active.

My gf Theresa goes to him and she said she loves him and would never trust her life in anyone else's hands. The Dr is very professional he takes his time with you and makes sure you understand everything.Thank you Dr for saving her life in 2017.

Dr. Shanahan is a wonderful doctor. He listens and responds to your questions and concerns in a way that is easy to understand. He also performed several procedures on me. I felt extremely confident in his abilities and I am thankful to have him as my doctor.

Dr Shanahan was the cardiologist on call at Princeton Hospital when I had my Heart Attack on May 25 he was the first part of the steps that saved my life during a very sticky situation where my old coronary stent was blocked by a blood clot in a very precarious place in my heart. I know Dr Shanahan went above and beyond the call of duty thus allowing me to get further treatment at another facility that had the equipment needed to finish the procedure, today I am thriving and living life.

I saw Dr. Shanahan in his Plainsboro office. The staff were friendly and efficient. Dr. Shanahan was calm and reassuring and made me feel quite at ease. He explained my condition in terms anyone could understand and answered all my questions and concerns. He took his time and I didn't feel rushed in any way.
