I've seen Dr. Mahalingam 2-3 times over what turned out to be a minor issue. Regardless of this, she was very thorough, explained everything in a very calm and caring manner and at a level that I could both understand and relate to.

Dr. Mahalingam was assigned to my case in Princeton Hospital, and I've stayed with her for the past 4 years. I have a condition that is notoriously hard to treat. She gives my case thoughtful attention and stays abreast of the latest research. She is excellent at explaining medical information so one can understand it. Her calm, kind demeanor helps to reassure. Dr. Mahalingam seems to be highly regarded by her patients and staff as a humanitarian with a great mind.

Dr. Mahalingam is one of the most knowledgeable and caring doctors my family has ever met. She has the most wonderful bedside manner; calm and reassuring. She saved my husband's life on more than one occasion.

Dr. Banu is my father's cardiologist. Following his cardiac scan/tests, she took the time to explain the situation, walked my parents through what they needed to do in layman's terms so they could absorb it.. not all MDs bother to do this -- they're just trying to get through their patient schedule.. so i highly recommend her.

When I arrived at a different hospital and met with a different cardiologist they quickly admitted me, fixed my problem, and changed my medications. And within a year my prognosis completely improved after I was originally told I would never get better.

I almost don't want to tell anyone what a good Dr. she is, it may be harder for me to get an appointment. She is direct but considerate. She explains in laymens terms what is going on and how to correct any issues without sugar coating.
