List of Roderick T Kaufmann's Reviews
This practice refused to see patients that have commercial insurance they pick and choose who to see based on your financial situation very discriminatory billing manager is a very nasty woman that won’t show any kind of empathy on billing or insurance issues. Very unique staff works here trained to discourage patients to be seen or even get an appointment with any doctor.
I just learned that I have a malignant growth on my earlobe. Dr. Kaufmann had looked at it a couple of months ago and ineptly simply prescribed a cream, despite my explanation of how long I had had it for and despite how bad it looked. He didn’t do a biopsy. Another doctor looked at it recently and said it was obvious a biopsy was needed. This could have been treated earlier had Dr. Kaufmann done his job.

Very knowledgeable and does not make patients feel rushed. I was a patient of Dr. Kaufmann years ago when he removed some problematic moles on my face. Then I got busy with children and work and neglected my health in the area of dermatology. My husband saw Dr. Kaufmann today because he has a skin issue that no dermatologist could seem to figure out or heal. With health insurance being a nightmare, I only chose Dr. K because he accepted my policy. His diagnosis made complete sense and he greatly explained the medication we would need and the steps to take. Out of all the dozens of dermatologists we as a family have used over decades, Dr. K is the best. His nursing staff and general staff is pleasant and efficient as well.
Dr. Kaufmann is thorough, gentle and professional. He has a nice personality. I never feel rushed and he listens to my concerns.
For over a year Dr. Kaufmann refused to look at a funny growth on my leg. When it began to bleed - in his office! - he finally did a biopsy and it turned out to be a very deep melanoma. A mole that bleeds is a prime symptom of melanoma. There was cancer in a lymph node, as well. He is arrogant, condescending and wrong.
Barely looked at me Fter I asked for a Complete skin cancer check! Answered few of my questions, did not know what my rashes were ...or even suggest anything. Gave me a few creams, no explanation. Waste of time, go elsewhere!
dr kaufmann jr is a great dr and very kind and smart
For over a year Dr. Roderick Kaufmann blatantly refused to examine an odd growth on my leg. When it began to bleed - a prime indication of a melanoma - he finally did a biopsy. Not only was it a melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer, but cancer cells were found in a lymph node. As a result, I have an uncertain future as a Stage 3C cancer patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
