Doctor William Parker and his team are truly the cream of the crop in surgery on endometriosis and fibroids. I am in my 40s and have both endometriosis and multiple fibroids. All the fibroids are grown in the wall of the womb, and the biggest fibroid is 9cm. My whole womb is about the size of one that is 18 weeks pregnant. And I still want to have children. Previously, I went to many other gynecologists. 4 of them are not sure if I should have surgery. They said if I needed surgery, they could only perform open surgery, but they are not sure if that would reduce my fertility and even lose my womb. They said if they can’t stop me from bleeding during the process of removing the fibroid, they have to remove the whole womb. Another 3 gynecologists insisted that I should remove my whole womb despite the fact that I told them I still want children. They told me my fibroids are potentially cancerous so I should remove my whole womb as soon as possible. I could neither trust those wishy-washy doctors, nor could I trust those who merely want a fat paycheck from doing a big surgery, rather than their patients’ well-being; so I continued to search online until I found Dr. William Parker. After the first appointment with Dr. Parker, it was like having a breath of fresh air and I knew I found the right doctor. Dr. William Parker is very knowledgeable, yet still very humble and caring. He listened to me patiently, and his explanations were very clear and logical. First, he assured me that my fibroids are not cancerous. Second, he explained that the 9cm fibroid does reduce my fertility. Removing it will increase my fertility back to what is normal for my age. Third, I was given the choice of doing either open surgery or laparoscopic surgery. With the open surgery, all fibroids could be removed, but it takes a longer time to recover. With laparoscopy surgery, the big ones are guaranteed to be removed, and it only takes 4-6 weeks to recover. Because I want something less invasive, I chose laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Parker assured me that I won’t lose my womb and because I am young and healthy, the chance of having any complications(eg. Blood clotting) is very low. That really comforted me. I felt that I am in good hands, not only could I trust in his skill, but also trust in his person. I think Dr. William Parker has a sound moral compass. He surely just wants the best for his patients. It’s now 6 weeks after the surgery, I feel like I am back to normal without any complications. I could tell this surgery was done very well by comparison to previous endometriosis surgeries I had in the past. This time, I was able to get out of bed and go to the bathroom by myself on the first night home. In previous times, I was in bed for a couple of days. I was able to walk slowly the next day. I don’t have much pain during these couple of weeks of recovery time. The only way I could explain this is that Dr. Parker precisely only removed what was needed, and did absolutely no damage to the nearby organs. Dr. William Parker is not covered by my HMO health insurance. However, later on I found out that as long as I can prove to my health insurance that none of my health care providers could perform certain treatment for me, my insurance actually authorized me to see doctors outside the network and covered the medical bill just as usual. Dr.Parker is the only doctor I found who could remove a large fibroid in the laparoscopic way. So it is very easy to prove this to the insurance company and get covered. It is really a blessing to have Dr. William Parker perform the surgery for me. My serious condition was never too complicated for this highly skilled doctor. He did exactly what he planned to do during the surgery. And I want to help more women who have large fibroids to know about this brilliant doctor. If I could have children in the future, I will come back and update you all.
Very good pleasant experience. He explained my diagnosis thoroughly.
