List of William Ward Barton's Reviews
One of the best MDs i've ever encountered.
I never personally met this doctor in person but I was satisfied fully with his recommendations. I will say I felt he was breezing through my file as I was trying to talk to him, but at the same time when you do this everyday and I’m not a “high risk” patient, I get it, overall I would want a little better but in the end this isn’t a bad doctor at all
Dr. Barton himself deserves 5 Stars. He's caring, knowledgeable, very focused and attentive to his patients. Always calls back, when needed. The headquarters set up in the Plainsboro center is ludicrous! One example, at Princeton Medical Center, the nurse, after doctor's approval, can send the test results directly to the patients. At Plainsboro office, they have to send any doctor's letter to Princeton office for approval! Only than it can be mailed to the patient!!! This way, although the nurse sends the letter immediately, the patient is getting it two weeks later!
Very poor bedside manner. I have a history of sinus infections due to a deviated septum and polyps. I have dealt with sinus infections my whole life, and know that 10 days of augmentin is what I need to get over the infection. He refused to prescribe me the full 10 day course of treatment. Wouldn't even talk to me about it. I will never go to him again.
This doctor ruined my life. I was 29 and complained about not having energy and being lithargic. He prescribed anti depression and told me to work out. The blood results indicated a hypothyroid condition that showed a reading of 6.9. Fast forward 3 years later and my thyroid was 180. With that came a whole host of problems with a chronic kidney condition being the biggest. I'm now 49 with an 8 and a 9 year old daughters. I'm in stage 3 of chronic kidney disease and just hoping I'm on this planet long enough to see my kids grow up and to be able to help my family financially. I have a diarrhea as I write this, a condition I got because my 3 week gout condition ended in me taking this God awful medicine that has diarrhea as a big side effect. I should be getting ready for the senior tour but because of my kidney condition it makes it difficult to play a multi round tournament. I'm generally very happy about my life but wonder where I would be today if Dr. Barton would've learned how to read simple blood results. I wish the internet was more prevelant and I may have been able to do my own due diligence. I know there are good doctors out there but the internet may be better than most of themJim Famula
Go elsewhere, extremely poor performance, there are obvious reasons why you can get an appointment quickly.
The call answer center for this practice is the worst I have ever encountered. You can't make an appointment with the office. First, you call the call center which tried to call through to the office you want to visit. Then hen no one answers, which is all of the time, you have to leave your information for someone to call back, tick, tock, tick, tock. Then someone called me and left a message for me to call back... 4 calls later with no one answering the office phone. I finally stopped by the office, no one in the waiting room..the nurse wouldn't see me. Would call. She called and talked for 2 seconds to give test results, what an insult. Then wouldn't schedule my next appointment, told me I had to call again. Told her I would never call this practice again. If they want me they will have to call me. She finally relented and made the appointment. What a rotten way to run a practice. I only made the follow-up appointment to let the doctor know what an absolute disgrace this phone system is. I am totally done with this practice. If they were busy that would be one thing. But the waiting room is always empty. What are they paying the receptionists(2) for???? I just hope they read this.
Dr. Barton always makes himself accessible whenever I need his services, even at the last minute if I've developed bronchitis. If I call on a Monday, I'll get an appointment either in the late morning or afternoon. That is certainly not the case with other specialists I deal with
Very smart doctor, a scholar who keeps up with the latest advances in medicine. Beng an internist and pulmonologist at the same time also helps him to stand out of the crowd of doctors.
Most helpful physician. Offers the right balance between great care, without excessive procedures/ medication - a rare combination that is much appreciated!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
