List of Xingjia (Ginger) Hua's Reviews
Dr. Hua should not be ethically allowed to maintain her MD. I went to her about a toenail infection. After forgetting to even look at my toenails (the entire reason that I went to her) she prescribed me medication. I took the medication and my toenail infection only continued to get worse. This left me with having to make an emergency foot specialist appointment the day before my wedding!Dr. Hua was rude, she did not listen to my concerns, and she rushed our appointment (the whole thing lasted less than 5 minutes). I would give her 0 stars if I could.
Would give zero stars if I could. Belittling, doesn’t hear patients, paternalistic medicine, doesn’t actually care about her patients. Don’t waste your time or money with this lady. She didn’t even go to an American medical school.
I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Dr. Hua. I went to Dr. Hua for unexplained chest and back pain because my primary care physician (in the same practice as Dr. Hua) was completely booked for over a month. When I described my symptoms and the pain I was experiencing, Dr. Hua barely acknowledged me. She ordered an x-ray and upon reviewing the results she declared, "your heart and lungs are clear. You just have arthritis, go get some physical therapy" despite my insistent pleas that the pain was MUCH worse than just arthritis (I know what arthritis pain feels like) and that I truly felt something was wrong with my body. She dismissed my concerns and rushed me out of my appointment. Well, thankfully I listened to my instincts because I got another doctor to order me a CT and it wasn't arthritis, it was stage IV cancer. For your own health, avoid Dr. Hua like the plague.
Terrible experience - misdiagnosed me, dismissed my symptoms, told me to just "eat eggs"
She has terrible interpersonal skills. Rushes through the appointment, doesn't explain anything, and rolls her eyes at any questions.
Very sarcastic and uncaring. Straightforward is one thing but, that is not the case here. Really dropped the ball on treating my high blood pressure. I was sick for a week after she switched my meds around way too much. I ended up just going to a specialist who is not a part of this group. This doctor has the potential to be great if she just tried a little. Believe all the reviews and not the glowing ones written by staff, which I find really sad.
I went to her a few times, but she doesn't seem to care, and sees you for about 5 minutes. I went there for sinusitis, and she refused to give me antibiotics. Instead she prescribed a very strong decongestant, and didn't even tell me that you can't drive while you're taking it because of the side effects. She sent me to have an echo cardiogram in their practice. I got the FIRST appointment of the day. I sat waiting and waiting and finally asked what was wrong. The nurse said that they were very worried about the technician because he was so late. She wanted me to wait some more, but I wouldn't, and she got all huffy. Turned out that he was out playing golf! The nurse didn't even apologize for this screw up. I went to reschedule with the receptionists. (She apologized, but it wasn't her fault)! She asked Dr. Hua, if I could have the test done at the hospital. She said no! So, I had to come back again to this awful office. After that, I left this terrible practice.
Recently saw Dr. Hua because it was the day before a long holiday weekend and I couldn't get an appointment with my regular practitioner. I"m not going to go into too much detail because the condition was of a personal nature. Anyway, at my visit with her she barely examined me and sent me home with a prescription. Over the weekend my condition became worse and I called the practice and got the physician on duty that suggested that I go to the ER. At the ER it was obvious that the doctor's didn't agree with Dr. Hua's assessment. Dr. Hua's assessment led to me having to suffer through many days of needless pain. At the ER I had to have an outpatient procedure done that relieved the swelling and allowed the abscess to drain. Thank goodness I called the PMG physician on call. One day following the procedure done at the ER, I am feeling better. I have never before written a bad review on a physician but in the strongest possible terms I would NOT recommend seeing Dr. Xingjia Hua.
My experience with Dr. Hua has been nothing, but amazing. She is caring, understanding, and has bedside manner; That does not exist with much M.D's anymore. Her staff is friendly, and always positive. They treat me like I'm a person, not a paycheck. I would recommend her to anyone who asks!
Dr. Hua is straight-forward, for better or worse. Sometimes it comes off as cold, especially if she doesn't see the point in your question (I asked for my blood type, because I've never been tested for it; she shrugged, had it done, and only told me the letter without the +/- .... so I still don't know my exact type). She openly made fun of me last time I went, which was quite rude but also may be a cultural difference (she's a Chinese immigrant). She's also realistic, and so that's why her rating balances out. I know when I'm not as healthy as I could be and also when I've improved, and she confirms both. Another time, she was kind when I was sick, and I was worried because I couldn't pinpoint why. In short, she does her job without real concern over her emotional effect on you. I've gone to her quite a few times over 3 years and won't be switching primaries anytime soon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
