Joseph J Licata's Online Review Report Card

In my many dealings with medical professionals over the years, I have never been treated more rudely. This doctor had absolutely no compassion for the background of the patient, nor did he take the time to truly evaluate the situation before declaring "You need surgery". very emphatically. Turns out, that was not the case, and I am so glad I didn't listen to him. It turns out my situation had not significantly changed from previous procedures, but apparently all he cared about was his surgical skills. I was extremely disappointed in his rush to judgement without taking the time to investigate and fully analyze my case. I would not recommend this surgeon for any procedure as a result of my experience.

Ladies, do not allow Dr. Joseph Licata to perform breast surgery on you. You will regret it. My doctor at the time, a friend of his, recommended him to remove my DCIS (ductile cancer in situ). It was smaller than a pen dot. Dr. Licata butchered me. Other doctors who have seen my surgical scar, including the doctor who recommended him, are just as horrified at his work as I am. He left me with a very long scar under my breast which is forever mis-shapened and numb. Further, in the recovery room, prior to any lab report, Dr. Licata told my husband and me that he “got it all.” But his story changed when I had the stitches removed. He informed me that my cancer was actually Stage One, that it had spread. When I questioned him about his recovery room statement that “he got it all”, he denied saying it! There’s more. Dr. Licata was not in my medical plan, but because he was referred by a doctor/friend of his, he said he would accept a co-pay only for the surgery. Another lie. Avoid!

Dr. Licata was recommended to me by my GP for my inguinal hernia surgery repair. Dr. Licata was very thorough in his explanations of the surgery I required. My surgery went great with a very fast and complete recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Licata to anyone requiring general surgery as he is the best.

EXCELLENT SURGEON !

I had to have a very serious operation and Dr. Licata set the stage for the best possible successful surgery as well as recovery. I needed to have part of my colon removed. The office staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Whenever you call you speak with a real person.Don't be put out by the fact that he only accepts out of network benefits. The office staff takes care of submitting the paperwork. Dr. Licata is excellent at what he does and his bedside manner is great!

I went to Dr Licata based on my primary care physician who thought I had active appendicitis symptoms. His office staff fit me in immediately. When I saw him he said you need to go for a Ct scan immediately. His staff precertified my Ct scan immediately. Dr licata told me he would get a preliminary read and let me know. Dr licata called me almost immediately after my test and said get to the Emergency room. I didn't want to go and he insisted. He saved me from a very serious situation. Thank U!

I have been to many doctors offices but this office is the best at all they do. I would highly recommend.
