This doctor is outstanding!!! My wife and I were very nervous about this appointment but she came highly recommended. Dr Altschul certainly did not disappoint. She was so professional yet so compassionate. Dr Altschul explained everything with such simplicity that we finally really understood my problem and where it is in my brain. We are very confident our plan of care is the best for the time being. She laid out a course of conservative action for now but explained the next step if necessary. Her staff is also so kind and very professional. I could not recommend her more highly!

I was referred to Dr. Altschul by my ENT because I had a bad case of pulsatile tinnitus. Dr. Altschul was able to perform a surgery to fix the problem. She placed a venous stent to correct a blood flow problem I was having in a vein very close to my ear. I immediately felt the difference when I woke up from the surgery as the whooshing noise in my ear has completely disappeared and has not returned. This has allowed me to sleep better than I have in about 10 years and the severe headaches I was having from IIH seem to have disappeared as well. She is definitely a great surgeon with amazing bedside manner; very thorough and explains everything in great detail so you can arrive for your procedure confident that everything will go well. My quality of life has improved tremendously since having this procedure and I highly recommend Dr. Altschul. You won't find a better surgeon!

Dr. Altschul was very thorough in reviewing my imaging with me and explaining what was going on. She took her time with me and was not rushed. I appreciated that.

Dr. Altschul in my opinion is an excellent neurosurgeon. She explains all issues in layman's terms and answers all question. She spends a substantial amount of time with me explaing in detail and I feel that she is well connected to her patients.
