Kathleen M Hoey's Online Review Report Card

I recently had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Kathleen M Hoey and I can honestly say that she is the best! From the moment I walked into the office, I felt at ease and confident that I was in good hands. Not only is Dr. Hoey is incredibly knowledgeable in her field, but she also takes the time to really listen to her patients and understand their concerns. She is kind, and truly cares about her patients' well-being. I have since moved far away from the area, but I don't mind driving all the way back to see Dr. Hoey because she is just that good. I would highly recommend Dr. Hoey to anyone in need of a caring and talented doctor. Thank you, Dr. Hoey for all that you do! Hatice Kirmic

So glad I switched to Dr. Hoey years ago. My health has improved 200%. She is amazing.

Honestly save yourself the time and energy. This doctor and her office isn’t understanding. I was lost and called them to ask if it would be okay to arrive 5 minutes late and the doctor said no. They can’t seem to understand life gets in the way and my gps was sending me somewhere else. The staff wasn’t even helpful in trying to help/fix the problem. Then they wanted to reschedule a month and a half later… Ridiculous.

I began suffering from undiagnosed issues. I went in to see Dr. Hoey and was told I should drink more water and go on walks - two things I do, but Dr. Hoey didn't bother to learn that before telling me I should be doing those things. Dr. Hoey was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and judgmental to the point that I cried after my appointment. Oh, and I wound up getting major surgery after I spoke with a surgeon. I wouldn't trust Dr. Hoey since she seemed to think water and walking was all I needed.

Dr. Hoey is the most caring, professional I have ever met. She gives you the time you need for every visit, never rushing you out. She truly cares for her patients.

Switched insurances and was given Dr. Hoey as a reference. After meeting with the “doctor” i explained some info about me, as you would to a new doctor. She couldn't of shown any less interest. I ultimately was there to have her look at my arms which were in alot of pain from my wrist to my elbows. She did not even touch my arms or looked at them. She just told me to take ibuprofen. This is after i explained to her the ive only had 1 kidney since i was 90 days old. Every real doctor ive ever gone to has told me to stay away from those types of meds because daily use is to taxing on my remanding organ. I knew she was a joke of a doctor so i asked who could actually help me. She told me an orthopedic, wrote the name on a sticky note n sent me on my way, no better than when i arrived. The next day i call to make my appointment and was told i need a physical referral from my clown of a doctor, something she should have given to me upon my visit. I then had to call Hoey’s office again and go all the way back for a referral just to be able to make an appointment. If health, time, money, and respect are important to you-stay away from this imposter.

I have been seeing Dr. Hoey for the better part of 10 years and have followed her to her current practice in Rockaway. I have been seeing her for both chronic and acute issues during that time. Since I started seeing Dr. Hoey she has always shown such caring and empathy about the issues I was seeing her for. I have never left an appointment feeling like I have been rushed or that Dr. Hoey did not take the time to work to solve my issues. Dr. Hoey is not the closest or most convenient doctor for me to see, but I will continue to visit her based on how she makes me feel as a patient.

Today I saw Dr Hoey for a new patient appt. I was SO impressed from the start. The nicest woman Dawn at the front desk to her sweet nurse and finally the doctor....welcoming, warm, compassionate, empathetic to all my chronic medical & spinal issues, wonderful resource for information and referrals. Dr Hoey is a rare find! I moved from Florida, where I found a wonderful PCP and didn’t think I’d be fortunate enough to find another like her but I did!! An unfortunate event; my lumbar spasms out as soon as I exited the exam room. Her amazing caring staff came to my rescue with a wheel chair and the doctor offered a private room for as long as I needed and to call an ambulance if need be. My heart is filled with joy over this first experience. If you’re looking for the very best, I’d highly recommend Dr Hoey.
