Dr. West was very cold and rude. Told me nothing was wrong with me when clearly I’m having trouble hearing. Just wanted me in and out. Will not go back.

I was very upset about today ‘s visit. I waited pass an hour to get in only to be denied service by Dr. West because I didn’t have a covid19 test before I got there. I should have been told that was mandatory ahead of time instead of driving an hour and waiting an hour and a half. The test has now been completed at Bon Secours I was not treated

Dr. West was short with me from the start of the appt, acting like he had better things to do. When I went to remove my mask assuming he’d be looking at my E, my N, & my T, he shook his head & scolded me like I was a terribly inconsiderate person. A few min later, the mask began to slide from my nose a tad while talking & he yelled at me again. I asked if I should take a decongestant, to which he was snippy: “do you want to take meds for every little thing?” I found this odd, as I am not on any medication—not even birth control. I hardly ever get sick or go to doctors. Yet he was treating me like an addict & a hypochondriac. He also told me he couldn’t perform a simple pressure test for 3 wks. I found another ENT who did it on the spot & was appalled by Dr. W’s incomplete approach. I understand the concern for COVID, but Dr. W should sit out if he’s too afraid to look at parts of the body that are key to his practice. Other DRs are back doing their jobs (and w/ much better attitudes).

Appointment time 09:50. Put in exam room at 10:07. Doctor finally came in at 10:30. Seems like excessive wait time. Doctor was professional and thorough. Would rate his performance at 5 stars but, with wait time, over a 4 star.
