There is not a time where you do wait in this office at least 40 minutes. The doctor is nice but the wait times are absurd.

Dr. Joanna M. Zurada is one of the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people/doctors/dermatologists I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and being cared for by, period! The Schweiger Dermatology Group is very lucky to have her as part of your staff!

I went for two appointments. The first was to check out a small growth on my scalp. The doctor identified it, gave me treatment options. I was satisfied with her apparent knowledge and manner. I asked about a cosmetic procedure, IPL, chose to have it done. The next appointment was for a skin cancer screening and the IPL. The screening went quickly and I had to assume thoroughly. The doctor didn't know I was also scheduled for the IPL. Staff error. She did it without complaint but very quickly. It is a bit painful and the rate may have exacerbated that aspect of the procedure. The wait in the reception area was not overly long before being brought into an exam room where I waited quite awhile, i don't recall specifically how long but brought a book to pass the time. I will continue to see her as my dermatologist.

I believe that it is important for a doctor to have a competent office staff. Dr. Zurada may have a good bedside manner and be knowledgeable, however, there is no excuse for double booking patients and having them wait at least 1hr in an exam room to be seen. That was my first experience months ago but decided to give the office another try Today, I experienced such bad customer/patient service that I will not be returning to this office. I had an appointment today. It was made months ago and I took a half of day from work, so that I could get there on time. The office called me last week on my cell phone to confirm. I arrived at the office today and the door is locked, no lights and no sign posted. I thought that was strange but figured there must have been an emergency, which I can understand and realize that sometimes you have to close the office. What I do not understand is how NO ONE from the office called me to cancel the appointment??? I had no missed calls from the office no voice mails nothing. While waiting outside the locked door, another patient showed up and had the same appointment time with me and with the same doctor. ( Hence why you will wait for at least 1 hr in the exam room since they double book and neither of our appointments were quick ones in regards to the nature of our visit) The other patient was upset as well, as she rushed to get there and did not receive a call either on her cell phone. Why was there no sign placed on the door? I called the office as I waited outside the locked door and it had no announcement that the office was closed nor went to the doctor's answering service which it should have when the office is closed for the day. I have worked in doctor's offices before and have been in healthcare for over 20 years. I have never seen an office have such disregard for their patient's time. I find it funny that they called my cell to confirm but not to cancel. There is NO excuse for what happened today. A simple call to all patients to let them know the appointments for the day have to be cancelled did not happen and there is no excuse. No consideration what so ever for the patient. I hope they learn from this.

I went to Dr Zurada for a checkup. She is easy to talk to and knows how to spot basil cell melanoma. I don't even sit out in the sun, but did when I was very young. Luckily, she discovered it in the early stage, so I could have it removed quickly.

Think before you commit to seeing this doctor. Rude staff with limited skills, ridiculous wait times, unprofessional office manager, doctor's callous attitude toward patients. My health plan confirmed this MD has no hospital affiliations. There are many other choices of more highly rated and reputable doctors with the compassion and caring you deserve. Your time and money are better spent with practitioners with appropriate experience and bedside manner who are able to handle all types of circumstances.

I was very unimpressed by her bedside manner. I felt so rushed, I forgot half the questions I needed to ask. She seems unfriendly and seemed quick to suggest procedures that seemed a bit unnecessary.
