Wayne D. Siegel's Online Review Report Card

I had a horrible experience with Dr Siegel yesterday. He is ice cold, shows no sympathy towards patients and does not listen. I wanted to leave as soon as he came in and was immediately rude, but i chose to stay because I was having a medical emergency and no other doctors were available. He was extremely condescending, accusatory and flat out rude. I felt like I was being interrogated and not being helped by a doctor that was being paid to help me. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid Dr Siegel at all costs. There are so many GI Doctors out there who will give you much better treatment than Dr Siegel did. I may even go a step further file a complaint to my insurance company. They deserve to know how terrible this Doctor is.

There are bad doctors, “meh” doctors, good doctors and then there is Dr. Wayne Siegel, who should be in a category of that rare almost extinct “patient and knowledgeable” type. He has been treating my parents for their GI issues for close to 20 years now and, since my parents don’t speak English, I have been present at all appointments (maybe 15-20 appointments over years). Since I had to translate, our visits would already take longer but Dr. Siegel never rushed us and always answered all the questions in a friendly manner. Many doctors either don’t have the patience to explain things or assume their patients are daft and won’t be able to grasp simple medical terms but not Dr. Siegel with his impeccable bedside manner. Lately, I came to realize just how much Dr. Siegel cares about an accurate diagnosis and the LONG TERM wellbeing of his patients and not just about quickly dispensing a pill. Recently, my dad’s gone to see Dr. Siegel about some stomach gas pain, bloating and constipation. He just wanted a script for very strong laxatives but, after a physical exam, Dr. Siegel refused to write a script and felt it was necessary for my dad to go to an emergency room instead. At first, we were frustrated – I mean who wants to sit 5 hours in ER wait room over some constipation, right? However, Dr. Siegel has never given us a wrong diagnosis or suggestion in 20 years so we reluctantly obliged. Turned out my dad had a serious colon blockage that could have led to a colon rupture (especially if mindlessly treated with laxatives!) so he was admitted on the spot. 2 days later and after a host of procedures (details of which I will omit not to ruin your dinner), my dad got a clean bill of health and was discharged. In hindsight, thank God, my dad went to an ER. He could have died if he had not. Btw, my parents’ insurance pays doctors less than most other insurance plans but we never felt that it made a difference in how Dr. Siegel treated my parents while, unfortunately, there are many doctors who won’t give time of the day to patients with cheap insurance.

I have very bad experiences with him once he enter the room with no greeting me and he set in his chair directly question me .. the way he talked to me so bad I never recommended him to any one if I have less than 1 star I will give to him l left his office so angry because I west my time keep waiting for his appointment almost 6 weeks.exactly treat people depend on type of health insurance they have

I had a very good experience recently with Dr. Siegel. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy simultaneously. He was knowledgable and compassionate and thorough. I highly recommend him.

I have never met a doctor who seem he had no interest in helping a patient but forced to since he was is a doctor. He made me feel so little as when he couldn’t help me understand my diagnosis with very sarcastic remarks like I was so below him as a human being.

Great Dr and Staff!

Had a really bad stomach/bowel issue for over a month and a half. Went to the ER twice within a week, neither them or my personal doctor was able to find the issue. After seeing Dr Siegel he sent me for the proper tests and was to diagnose the issue and eventually eradicated the illness. I’d most definitely recommend Dr Siegel if your experiencing serious internal issues

I went to Dr. Wayne D. Siegel from 2008 to 2009. He is amazing. Went for multiple issues. He has resolved all my issues. I highly recommend him. Very easy to get appointment and staff are very good.

Dr. Siegel was great about addressing all questions and concerns. Very straightforward, informative, and thorough with his explanations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent experience overall.
