No recomiendo a este neurocirujano, le hizo uña craneoplastia a mi esposo en 11/09/23 en el Trinitas Hospital en Elizabeth NJ. Y le dejo el canal auditivo tapado con una malla 6 meses con dolor e infección en ese oído hasta que en el Bellevue Hospital le descubrieron esa mala práctica y lo operaron de nuevo. Gracias a Dios y a los neurocirujanos y ENT del Bellevue ya está bien.

This Doctor did my back surgery 21 yrs ago...what a great doctor!!! did I get relief definitely. I got some. but I will always be in pain. Dr Ratzker treated my aunt who fell and fractured her neck. My aunt was not a candidate for surgery but Dr Ratzker continued to manage her recovery through office visits. He was honest with my aunt about her prognosis. Dr Ratzker explains things in simple language to his patients. The office staff is friendly and efficient - especially Nicole.

I first saw Dr. Ratzker after an unsuccessful L5-S1 Fusion performed by another surgeon. He was able to diagnose the cause of my continued pain, easily explain the cause of it, and recommend a different surgical approach. It worked! Four months later I’m pain free and the recovery has been much quicker and less painful than the surgical approach taken by my first surgeon. He knows what he’s doing an having had two previous C-spine fusion surgeries over the last 20 years I have a bit of experience in these matters. Important to note, surgery was the best option for me, but just because he’s a surgeon doesn’t mean he’s going to recommend operating. He looks for the least invasive treatment that fits with your individual quality of life goals. He’s incredibly smart, a great surgeon, and a hell of a nice guy with a great beside manner, which IMHO is very important in a surgeon, especially one who is going to operate on such an important and critical part of the body.

Dr. Ratzker and his team at The Back Institute are AMAZING! They ALWAYS go above and beyond for their patients. Dr. Ratzker has performed two cervical discectomy and fusions in my neck and both surgeries were a success. I completed physical therapy post operatively and I am back to work within two months. Moreover, Dr. Ratzker’s administrative team sends Temporary Disability forms out to the state, manages scripts, and schedules appointments in a timely manner. The Back Institute team far outweighs it’s competitors when it comes to patient care & satisfaction. Keep up the GREAT work!

I had a fractured neck and Dr. Ratzker performed Fusion Surgery on me. I feel his skills are 1st rate. I found Dr. Ratzker to be very personable, he answered all of my questions and he allowed my girlfriend to facetime 1 of my visits when she could not join me. I found the Office Staff to be very friendly and professional. I dealt mostly with Nicole and I thought her to be outstanding. Anything that I needed done she took care of promptly. I would highly recommend Dr. Ratzker and his staff.

I was nervous about back surgery for 2 reasons, surgery on the spine and whether it would fix my problem. Dr. Ratzker was great! I have my leg back and pain is gone!
