List of Richie Lin's Reviews
The PA is not knowledgeable. She misdiagnosed both of my daughters causing months to go by without their conditions being properly treated. This resulted in their conditions getting worse and more difficult to treat.
I've gone to Dr. Lin for years. However, I was DENIED an appointment since I accidentally missed 2 appts. One in November and one this past Monday. I was told today by the SCHEDULER that she couldn't give me an appt. until $100.00 was paid ($50.00 each for not showing up). Well, I'm on a fixed income and don't have those monies right now. I hung up. Will be looking for a new doctor.
Pleasantly thorough and always professional.
I was a patient of Dr. Lin's from Columbia Medical Center. I was pleasantly surprised to find he practices in NJ as well, since I live here. He is the best in the area for my complex problem. He is the best in the area for my friends and family for their simpler skin problems. He is extremely busy, but always makes time for me. I will always recommend him.
Horrible and rude front staff. Don’t care about patients. Doctors are great if you can get past the front desk!
High marks for Dr. Lin. He treats his patients with great care, is professional yet kind, and explains things in detail (and in layman's terms!). Already recommended him to two family members. Also impressed by the professionalism of Medical assistants and Front desk receptionists.
I’ve seen Dr. Lin a few times now for a few different reasons. He’s a relatively young guy (which I appreciate because I’m 34), very friendly and very professional. He has excellent bedside manner, as I’ve always left his office feeling reassured and positive. Every time I’ve seen him he has diagnosed me properly and prescribed exactly what I’ve needed. Dr. Lin is my dermatologist of choice and I’ll certainly be back - though hopefully not too soon.
As a dermatologist, he does not understand skin of color. I have been getting the same procedure done for years. When I told him to turn device down because it was too high. He got an attitude and said I do this all the time. He was rough during the procedure and did not take my skin type into consideration. He ended up leaving unnecessary dark marks/scars on me because the device was too high and he was rough.
I've seen Dr. Lin a handful of times over the years and he has an excellent bedside manner. He is very gentle with whatever he does and the girls in the office are always very friendly and professional.
Horrible bed side by Dr. Lin. Everything about my visit felt rushed and I did not get a chance to explain everything I went in for. Each time I would bring up a new issue to discuss, he would rush and tell me he is going to get his assistant to prescribe me medication. I mean can we discuss alternatives other than just to rush me out and give me medication. I went out of my way to this office because I cannot seem to find a good dermatologist and after I saw the semi good reviews I said finally let me go and It was not what I expected.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
