List of Shahid W. Farooqui's Reviews
Dr Farooqui has been instrumental in helping me through a Mast Cell disorder I became I’ll with due to 9/11. Although this disorder will always be with me Dr Farooqui has taught me how to manage the attacks. He is what all doctors should be;Thorough, brilliant, and always concerned about keeping his patients in good health. He takes the time to explain everything you need to know about an illness and the necessary steps for cure. Dr Farooqui leaves no stone unturned and his physicals are all encompassing. The stress test examination he gave my husband detected an issue with no symptoms that lead to a quadruple bypass surgery that saved my husband’s life. The same is true of a friend we recommended to Dr Farooqui - another life saved! Dr Farooqui has one goal, to keep people alive & in good health. I can’t say enough about him.
I always have a good experience when I have an appointment with Dr. Farooqui and his staff. They are very courteous and funny. At my last visit we joked before and after we discussed the reason for my visit. In fact, he was the reason I had an appointment. He had his staff call me to schedule one as a follow up to a recent hospital visit. He and his staff are awesome!
My husband & I been patient for over 25 yrs. we also bought our 4 sons to see Dr.Farooqui My mother was also patient before she passed away, we both would drive over 30 minutes for our appointments. My nephew is also patient & loves Dr. Farooqui He cares for his patients as if there were his own family He not like other Doctors In & Out he takes his time to check you discuss in detail, findings and how to treat you. He is extremely knowledgeable He is very trusting & knowledgeable doctor I have ever met We’re lucky to have met him
My 85 year old mother has been seeing Dr. Farooqui for about 25 years. When he first saw her, it was because her previous doctor was out of town and we needed another to get to bottom of why she wasn't feeling well. On her first visit, he quickly recognized that she was in congestive heart failure (which the previous doctor didn't; only gave her cough syrup!) and pretty much saved her life by getting her right into the hospital and with medical treatment that she needed. He saved her life again a decade later, and when she was at the hospital he came at all hours of day & night to check in and see how she was, always diagnosing. Over the years she has seen a lot of specialists under his recommendations and they have always been top-of-their-field. Now that she has moved in with me, we drive an hour to visit his office and it's worth the trip. Yes, you'll wait for a bit before heading back to the exam room, but that is because he truly listens and takes his time with patients. Worth it.
Only concerned with maximizing insurance billing. Orders tests which are not needed. Unprofessional. Avoid him
Called in advance to let them know I was running behind. Got in a few minutes late and said hello to the front desk. She looked at me, got up and walked away. I waited until she came back, check in and sat for 40 minutes. I walked out. I received a called one hour and ten minutes after my appointment time. I have to assume that was when they noticed I wasn’t in the waiting room. it only rang twice so I didn’t have a chance to answer and they didn’t leave a message. There are plenty of doctors in the area
Every time when I have an appointment, their are never on time. They always call me in at least 20 or more minutes late. It’s annoying because if they schedule me for an appointment at a certain time, it should be that way because since they are always late for my appointment, I have to switch things around through out my day. Today I also came in to the office and Dr. Farooqui had no information about me saved. Every time I went to he’s office, he would judge me for who I am. 😡😡Today they took about an hour after my original appointment to attend me and messed up my whole day😡😡
As a pharmacist practicing in hospital settings I’m familiar with drug doses and using evidence based literature to derive treatment regimens. Dr. Farooqui does not use evidence based medicine. He Rx’d my father an antiviral for 30 days when all literature notes a max of 14 days. When asked to explain how he chose the dose all he did was get angry at questioning his practices. Find a doctor who is willing to explain and show you evidence!!
Been pt for 7 yes approx. Had a bad car accident. 2 MRI ‘s later after I had to talk him into scripts, herniation, bulging disk and impingement on thecal sac all from accident. Dr. wanted to see me to discuss “problems” as he stated. Had a scheduled appt today and after waiting 55 min I was told by receptionist he won’t see me for accident related. He wouldn’t even give me 5 min today and he’s one who insisted on seeing me. No longer worrying of holding his title as evidence by refusing to see me today after he insisted I see him.
I'm writing this cause what I witnessed wasn't just unprofessional it was violent. Today my nurse was new and took alittle long preparing me for the doctor to see me. So while she was preparing me for an ekg the doctor entered the room and Commenced to chastise the new employee . He started snatching the pads outta her hand's and off my chest . I informed him he was being vulgar and disrespectful to the female. He got hostile with me and ordered me to leave. I don't know who to make a complaint about him so I put this up. No male should talk to a women like he talked to her. Subordinate or not . No work environment should be that hostile for female's. If this offends anyone oh well . I'm making my way through the proper Channels one way or another .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
