List of Andrew L. Hirsh's Reviews
My husband is a new patient with practice. Today was his second visit to see Dr. Hirsh, review studies and labs he ordered at first visit 2 weeks ago to determine plan of care and procedure recommended to remove the horrible pain he is suffering with kidney stones he is unable to pass. My husband was not happy when he called to check in for his 9am appoint to confirm appointment as directed in laundry list of patient does and don'ts rules and punishment patient will face breaking any listed on website and patient must sign off on acknowledging punishments. We live 45 minutes from practice so as always taking this in consideration our drive to appointment was planned accordingly so my husband would arrive on time. Well unfortunately we experienced a uncontrollable in route to appointment. A unexpected traffic delay. My husband called and left message on practice voicemail informing he would be 5 maybe 10 minutes late due to the uncontrollable. When my husband we walked into office 13 minutes late for scheduled appointment and no regard or understanding was considered by young lady at turnstile checking in the overbooked morning schedule of numbers, when my husband gave his name to check in. She immediately replied "you are late and will need to reschedule another appointment". I stood in disbelief and became furious. No I said he will not reschedule. we will find another professional to care for him as a human not a number. A professional who has understanding of circumstance and distance traveled for appointment and be concerned with healing not harming.
Dr Hirsh is an outstanding Urologist! He took care of me when I was admitted to Shore Memorial Hospital for a kidney stone. He went above and beyond by coming into the hospital on a Sunday afternoon to breakup the kidney stone lodged in me. He is a very educated, patient & pleasant Dr that took the time to explain to me and my wife our options and exactly what he would be doing. I never once felt rushed while talking to him, which I believe is rare today.Thank you Dr Hirsh!
This was a followup visit to review a ultra-sound. I arrived at 11:32 for an 11:00 visit. My car clock showed 11:30, the arrogant condescending reception person refused to let me check in.Very rude told to to leave, if I did not want to reschedule,I told her I was here for my appointment and that I was staying, she called the police on me. And she did. Two minutes late and she called the cops, What a way to run a business. Needless to say I am going to a different urologist as of today. Never in my life have I witnessed such insensitivity
Very bad doctor ( Harish Andrew) since 2013 I did. Surgery of kidney stone , but he forget remove the stint as very bad memory plus he move to Atlantic city without notice to the patients
Dr. Hirsh was thorough and to the point does not waste his time or yours. Appointment was on time.
Dr Hirsh (624 Shore Rd Somers Pt NJ across from Shore Medical Center - Shore Physicians Group) is just great! He has a smart kind way about him. Very knowledgeable and easy to speak to. And a sense of humor as well. He's very bright. What he says - he means. And he knows what he's talking about. He won't just tell you what you want to hear, with that being said, he's understanding, a good listener and compassionate. I find him to be the best of the best.
Dr. Hirsh was the third Urologist I saw in an around New Jersey. He was the first to give me a clear and simple explanation about my issue. And, he fixed things for me. I can go on long drives, out fishing again, and no more urinating on every tree in the golf course - thank you Dr. Hirsh
This practice is the worst. Do yourself a favor and stay away. All about profit not patient care. Whoever manages this practice has no respect for patients. If a Dr. is not fully booked up with patients that day or not enough patients scheduled to bring in a tech for your testing you will get a call a few days before your visit that it needs to be re-scheduled. They will give the excuse, Dr had surgery, or tech was sick, etc. Profit first YOU second. Office staff stressed! Even Dr's are fleeing!
Dr. Hersh himself seem nice at first told me I needed a procedure to have this operation for the prostate and I found out later that he didn't do certain tests that would definitely tell you if you need to have a prostate operation done he did a TURP or Rezume operation on the prostate which in fact after the surgery I came out with more problems than what I went in for : have urinary incontinence Not being able to have an erection or have intercourse with your partner Not be able to go to the bathroom right number one or number two for the rest of your life so I would definitely would not recommend Dr. Andrew L Hirsh for anything related to the prostate I would definitely seek The top urologist in the country and then go with the one nearest you the staff was absolutely horrible during all my visits if I had a question about the pain that I was having after the surgery which was daily the staff wouldn't say they would relate to call back to the doctor and then when I call finally got a hold of the doctor he said he couldn't talk to me unless I have an appointment so if there was no Communication with the doctor over the phone he doesn't do any phone calls with his patients every time I called his staff I felt like somebody was hanging the phone up on me talk to would act all normal during the appointment and then when he would say oh would you like to have an appointment closer to where you live and I would say yes and then he would cancel the appointment when it got close to the appointment day which happened three times in a period of four months so if you're in a lot of pain after surgery you don't want to be put off and reschedule an appointment just to have it canceled
After multiple appointments and tests. Recommends I see another practice. This was said politely but , after ten plus appointments? If they couldn't help me they should have told me sooner. A painful and expensive bad investment. To try and find a positive ?I would say at least very honest.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
