Didn't want to hear how I felt in the matter and at the end of it all wouldn't give me surgery only shots that lead me to leave after only 2 visits. In April 1980, when I was 20 years old, I broke my wrist rollerskating at Trinity College in Hartford. Dr. Dalzell was the orthopedic doc who set the bone in the ER at Hartford Hospital an hour later. He was not a whole lot older than I was at the time. He warned me it would hurt, pulled hard on my hand, and set the bone just like that. I have never forgotten his concern and care that day.

Really disappointed. Totally ignored dangers of pharmaceuticals to older people. Never introduced self, nor did his nurse, both rushed. Had xray forced on me ignoring recent Scan I brought. Wait time was excessive v the less than ten minutes spent. Clearly a knowledgeable person, but no compassion.

Upon him looking at my MRI of my left knee I was told I needed a new knee, then 3 weeks later he looked over the same MRI with me standing over his shoulder, He then said I should do therapy. So glad I never made the appointment to have the knee replaced. It was just that the knee cap have moved slightly and needed to be popped back into to place. Dr. explained to me that is his job, new knees. Thank God I was wise enough to get another opinion, he should retire.

I can honestly say that Dr. Dalzell is the very best orthopaedic surgery in my opinion. When a Dr. can take the time and listen to what you are saying to him, in this climate you have a Winner. I trust his treatment and his advise. I can't say enough about him. I highly recommend Dr. Dalzell.
