Dr Demorat has been my doc for years- he is not only my doc but is also doc to many of my family members and we all love him! He is thorough, he his respectful and he tells you like it is!

I had a massive rotator cuff tear to my right shoulder. Yes, these things can happen when you fall while chasing your dog! The day of surgery I was so impressed by the treatment I received. As I was being prepared for the surgery several nurses and technicians came up to me and asked how I was doing, assuring me everything was going to be fine. Just prior to being taken into the operating room, Dr. DeMorat sat by my bedside and explained the entire procedure to me, letting me know what to expect. Everyone I spoke with had amazing bedside manor. After the surgery follow their advice and you'll be fine. When you start PT you need to also do the exercises at home, not just at the PT appointment. This is crucial if you're to regain full mobility again. Don't expect too much too soon, as the repair process takes a full six months. Stay the course and do the PT. I just passed the six month mark and I am very pleased to say I have regained full mobility again with no pain whatsoever. I can't say enough good things about Dr. DeMorat and his team. Trust me as a previous patient, you'll be in very good hands. Robert S

Office staff unprofessional/ unqualified & not friendly. Dr Demorat 5 stars and should rehire better employees with a better attitude.

I highly recommend Dr. Demorat and his staff. Great atmosphere and he explains things so I can understand clearly. Down to earth good guy.

No bedside manner. Info delivered without compassion or empathy of any kind. Xray tech rude. Actually yelled at me. I gently held her shoulder for support for a moment so I wouldn't fall - she actually yelled "don't touch me"! Really? - in a medical profession? That's a first. Would never recommend or go back!

I have seen Dr. Demorat 3 or 4 times about issues starting with and stemming from a fractured radial head in my right elbow. I greatly appreciate his expertise, friendly manner, and thorough explanation of the condition(s) and what to expect as they heal. I also like that he prefers to start with the "simplest", least-invasive treatment and make further decisions based on the body's response to that. I would ( and have) recommended him to others. The staff ( I usually visit the Somers Point facility) is friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and very efficient.

Dr. DeMorat himself is very knowledgeable and nice. He explains things well. He does not present several treatment options, however. He wants to operate. Be prepared to do your own due diligence. The staff, however, (the secretarial/reception people) are very unpolished and could use some training sessions in making patients feel welcom, comfortable and at ease. They shout back and forth to each other and patients, so forget privacy. They do not treat patients with respect or friendliness. Their office area itself looks like it's not quite ready to go yet..rather stark and unwelcoming. I got the impression they are not very happy to be working there.
