Waited over an hour past my appointment time for the procedure; couldn’t position my wheelchair to satisfy the doctor, then required additional numbing because I felt the extraction needle, which was painful; very much appreciated the professional help of nurse JoAnn and technician Katrina, who were helpful to both me and the doctor; honestly, this was an ordeal that I wouldn’t want to repeat again; BTW, the photo of the doctor looks nothing like the doctor who performed the biopsy

Atlantic Medical Imaging “forgot” that I was scheduled for multiple thyroid nodule biopsies at their Rt 37W Toms River office. The doctor that was to do the procedure was not in. After being told I’d have to reschedule, an alternative doctor agreed to do the procedure. It was clear during the procedure that the nurse, doctor and sonogram tech had never worked together before. The doctor told the nurse and sono-tech that he was certain that his biopsy procedure would be “different” from than that of the originally scheduled doctor. During the procedure, there were several times when the doctor asked the sono-tech which nodule was to be biopsied. Multiple times the discussion included the phrase “ I THINK it’s this one”. Two days after the procedure, I experienced soreness, swelling, and elevated temperature at the site of the needle biopsy. I was concerned about a possible infection. I called the nurse to leave a message expressing my concern but received no reply.

The Doctor and the entire staff at the Somers Point NJ AMI were absolutely the best! They were so kind and caring during a nervous time. I had the best care and experience there! I can't thank them all enough!

Very positive experience. Everything was explained beforehand and the nurse navigators were there throughout. Dr. Gualtieri introduced himself before and after the procedure and answered any questions and explained next steps. All personnel were concerned for your well-being.

I just have to Thank Leslie, Cara and Nicole for make my visit very comfortable. Theses ladies are an asset to AMI. They were all very comforting and extremely helpful in explaining everything that was going to happen. And the doctor was very good and gentle in preparation of what was going on. This is far the most friendly and nice group of people I have ever dealt with at any doctors office, from the ladies at the front desk to all the ladies through out my visits and the doctors. Thank you for making,me feel comfortable.
