Dr. Alvaro is just AWESOME. I've been going to him for probably 20 years. And he's not just awesome as an OB/GYN; he knows more about general health issues than any of my regular primary physicians ever seem to know. There have been so many questions over the years that my regular doctors and other specialists couldn't answer, and they were answered quickly and intelligently by Dr. Alvaro during my regular OB/GYN appointments. I've asked him about everything from strange skin bumps to ear/throat problems to strained muscles to mental/emotional issues. Dr. Alvaro is quite pleasant and thorough - never condescending or 'holier than thou'. He is probably the best physician in any area of practice that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. (And no, I'm not his mother, LOL. Just a long-term patient who thinks he is an especially great doctor.)

At first I thought he was typical asking lots of questions and just nodding. Then he used the data that I provided to explain several matters of concern that no other doctor had pointed out in my 52 years. I felt like I had been given power over my health with his knowledge.
