List of Richard Angrist's Reviews
I should have read the reviews here prior to making an appointment at Angrist's office in Point Pleasant. The office itself doesn't seem clean, it's cluttered and dated. Angrist himself rushes you through his exam, which will last 2 minutes after his asst. does the crux of the work, cuts you off if you speak, and rushes you right out. He actually admitted to me he doesn't have patience with people. Take his word for it.
(2 of 2) All the providers including Angrist also leave the exam doors wide open so that the entire practice can hear your private health conversations, which likely is a breach of patients’ rights to privacy. Patients in the waiting room are packed in like sardines (they severely overschedule). Angrist will also just reach his hands in your face with an eye dropper and drop things into your eye before you can even get a chance to ask what it is (or say you’re allergic to them!) To put the cherry on top, the eye dropper touched the inside of my eyelids, and it seems like he returns the eye dropper into the same bottle for the next patient, which makes me wonder about the cleanliness and measures that this practice takes to avoid spreading infection and disease among the other patients (especially during COVID). As a doctor, you’d think he’d at least wear his mask correctly, but perhaps this is a great representation of how much he doesn’t care about the welfare of his patients.
Do NOT go here and if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you. I made an appt months in advance, I called to confirm the week before my appt, and when I showed up I was turned away. They said I needed a referral to see them. It sounded funny to me and when I checked with my insurance I found I DID NOT need a referral. My bigger issue with them is that I had been there before without a referral and I was never told prior to my appt that I would need one, even when I called to confirm. Very disappointed that they didn’t consider my time valuable. Would NOT recommend.
I have been going to Dr. Angrist in NJ even though I live in NY. I had an eye emergency that was misdiagnosed by the Emergency room over the holidays some years ago. He took care of it, and I have been going for check ups since.
Rude, don't like them and will not recommend
Absolutely the worst experience of my life! Have not one good thing to say about this man. Do not go this man!
Would not even rate this man one star!!! What I would rate this man is a monster! Worst experience of my life! Never have a met someone so rude and nasty!
Simply just 5 Star in all respects.
I usually do not take the time to write reviews but felt compelled to do so given the poor service and lack of professionalism from this facility. I am actually surprised this office has maintained its business throughout the years but can only assume it’s based mainly on the highly populated area in which it is located. I will spare you all the details of the poor service I received from the technician and Dr. Angrist and just say in short, that I was treated terribly as a “new” patient when there was a direct error with my prescription order on their end. Please save your time and your money and go somewhere else deserving of your business and that will provide the level of care you should feel as a patient .
Not a professional doctor , I waiting more than one hour and he very rude first and last time go to this place .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
