List of Subhashini Gowda's Reviews
Been a patient of hers for about 10 years since 50. Came in with heart issues but all I heard was 'you're too young and healthy to have heart issues, must be anxiety. Note, 4 people in my family died of heart issues. I did go from someone that was young and healthy when i first visited to someone who was told on the last visit that I needed to talk to a heart transplant doctor at another hospital! How's that for receiving A-quality care. Another note, the last discharge paper I received from the hospital indicated the reason I came in was for anxiety. Amazing. I was also told I was too young for a Defib device but yet she planted one in me during an EP study. Unfortunately she implanted the wrong type of device, the leads in the wrong area and the settings where incorrect. Chest xray next day showed this but who reads xrays. Three weeks later I survived an hour long multiple shock attack due to these mistakes. My new docs have determined I have sarcoid disease which was there for yrs
I used to have palpitation since age 17 and progressively worse. In 2015 I started to get so annoyed and it interrupted my regular life. Eventually I met Dr. Gowda and she diagnosed me and scheduled me for an ablation at RWJ. Her care was of the utmost excellence. Post ablation, not another single attack of palpitation and I am more than elated. Dr. Gowda's bedside manners, work skills and outcome were exemplary. I love her and now she also takes care of my mom.
I loved dr Gowda until I had a problem. I had very high bp. She ran a lot of tests and changed meds. I was overtired and my ankles swelled like crazy. Her response was to learn to elevate my legs. Other drs said their were alternative meds. Ended up my primary and rheumatologist had to change up my meds and monitor me till I secured an appointment with a new dr. On top of that I had plantar fasciitis at the time and she said she would schedule me for nuclear. Then. Two prescriptions were wrong. They could not fix in office. No prescription tablets so they resent in incorrect. No call backs ever. To get this through I had to dial and say I was a dr calling. I guess if you are not having a problem she is nice enough. Luckily my husband came in with me that day He never would have believed how I was shuffled in and out with stupid answers. Ugh. .
Dr. Gowda is absolutely wonderful !! Based on family history & habits Dr. Gowda ordered CT/Calcium score. The test revealed 4 potential blockages. Cardiac catheterization determined 4 significant blockages. 4 by-passes needed !! Early detection was KEY !! No damage. No heart ATTACK ! Home within 68 hours of surgery. Thanks to Dr. Gowda. I could not have asked for a better outcome !!
Dr. Gowda explains everything so you can understand what is happening with the ICD and the importance of my INR readings. I also take my readings at home, instead of a lab where they draw a tube of blood instead of a drop of blood. Taught me about Vit. K. I trust her with my life. One thing I can say she listens to you what your saying, not dictate at you.
I had experienced irregular heart beats for several months. Finally my PCP sent me to Dr. Gowda which was such a blessing. It was such an easy procedure in her able hands and excellent team. Anytime I called her, she always called back asap and team was excellent. I am now off Amiodarone and also will come off blood thinner today and am so happy. We will follow closely. Dr. Gowda is the best and very reassuring and makes me so comfortable when I was anxious. Procedure was done so easily and Dr. Gowda is a WhizKid.
My mother was in the hospital and Dr. Gowda was the on call provider for my mother's provider. My mom had a minor stroke and called Dr. Gowda and she said to my mother "What do you want?" She was so unprofessional. I do not recommend this provider. I see someone else described a similar situation, and Dr. Gowda replied that it wasn't her. Typical. I heard what she said my mother. I know for a fact who she was speaking with. So I will accept no excuses. If I could give her a zero rating I would.
My mother contacted Dr Gowda regarding her admission into the hospital (diagnosed with a minor stroke)and her response was "What do you want?" She was rude and disrespectful. That is no way to treat a patient who, due to COVID, was scared and alone in the hospital. She showed no empathy or compassion. I am also in the medical field and she is out of line.
My experience with Dr. Gowda is she is very nice. She is very caring and passionate towards her patients. She also listens to what a patient has to say and then she recommends what should be done. I definitely would recommend Dr. Gowda to my friends and family.
Dr. Gowda was the on-call doctor when I called the office on a Saturday re: an incident with my mother who is the patient of another doctor in the practice. She was curt and I got the impression I was "disturbing" her weekend. It was loud in the background and I heard people talking, so much so that it felt like other people were on the line with us. I understand I was calling off hours, but at first it was hard to hear her and I wasn't even sure she was talking to me because I was hearing other conversations. No apology, just "you're calling me on the weekend, I'm not in the office. I can hear you" when I mentioned my confusion hearing others talking. After I explained what happened with my mother, she asked me one question regarding the incident then said "You should call the office on Monday to make a follow up appointment with her (my mother's) doctor. Good bye." She then hung up on me!! I have never had a doctor speak to me with the tone this person used. Very rude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
