List of Richard Lander's Reviews
Dr. Lander has been the pediatrician for my 2 daughters for over 21 years. He is fantastic...we completely trust him. He is thorough and pays attention to every detail. He has kindly tolerated every stupid question that I have asked over the years, and never once made me feel stupid for asking. You will not find a better doctor. Try Dr. Lander...you will be glad you did.
Horrendous. Traumatic childhood memory. My siblings and I went to Dr. Richard Lander for annual checkup and we were all administered a rectal exam. Completely unnecessary. Fortunately, we found a properly trained (with better bedside manners ) physician after this episode.
Dr. Lander is a kind, caring and very knowledgable pediatrician. He listens to your concerns, explains things so you can understand them and does not push unnecessary meds. He knows his stuff and is always spot on! We love Dr. Lander!
I wouldn't recommend his office. First of all there is a constant flow of doctors working there. You see one due to a sick visit and you have to schedule follow up with another because first one is not working there any longer, or you would get appointment with a nurse. Office location is right next to our house and we saw doctors there for about 8 years now. Mistakes with insurance codes are regular with his staff, and cost you long hours to figure them out. For about 3 years now I am asking them to correct mistake they made copying my son's insurance ID... I receive bills stating our insurance was denied after every office visit, and every time it is due to one letter misspelled in ID. No one cares to correct it no matter how many times I asked them to do so. "We were understaffed today! " I received an explanation from Dr. Lander. "What about other days , Doctor?"
Dr. Lander has been my kids' pediatrician for over 20 years. He's professional, kind, considerate and a medical gem, a true treasure. He guided me from their births to college, keeping close watch on their specific needs, and even provided me referrals. Dr. Lander is absolutely in practice for the care of his patients; so much so that I moved to Central Jersey over 10 years ago, and I still travel to Livingston because my kids adore him. I needed him while away on vacation once and he correctly diagnosed my child over the phone solely with his expertise. I trust him with my kids' lives.
..............Stay away from this doc.............
Beware!! I am an adult with children omy own. I am also psychotherapist. I saw Dr. Lander twice as a child. On two occasions, he penetrated my anal opening. I had no symptoms of any bowel or constipation issues. I ended up seeking healthcare elsewhere. There are many wonderful, compassionate, and thorough doctors. This is not one of them!
unprofessional, poor bed side manner. Was inappropriate towards my teenage female daughter. Terrible experience. Stay away from dr lander. The staff is always nasty too.
Dr Lander has taken care of all three of my children for over 20 years... He is kind and soft spoken, very thorough and will leave NO stone unturned. He is a stickler for detail and I believe he always has my child's best interest at heart. I trust him completely and appreciate his honesty. Recently my son was admitted to the hospital and I asked for Dr Lander to be notified. He was not, so I called over to his Office and he came immediately. He's THE BEST! His Staff is always friendly to me...
My son had been a patient ever since he was born. He would always see Dr. Mehta which was a great doctor until she left the practice. I continued taking him there, never had a problem with them until last week. We saw Dr. Lander after my 1 year old ended up with a high fever and rashes on his arms. Dr. Lander examined him and all he said was" I don't know what it is" My sons ins. doesn't kick in until May 1st. I had to pay $132 out of pocket just for him to tell me he didn't know what he had. I called again on Wednesday since his fever had come back and he didn't want to eat anything. Was told the doctor was going to give me a call back and 2 days later I still haven't received a call from anyone. Good thing I found a doctor that could see my son that same day and was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
