MItchell F Reiter's Online Review Report Card

After receiving my results of my MRI, I immediately went to see Dr. Reiter. I was given an appointment to see him within two days. Dr. Reiter reviewed my MRI and discussed all my options in detail. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc L5. After listening to Dr. Reiter's recommendations, I made the decision to have surgery because I was in so much pain. My surgery was then scheduled two weeks later. I am currently in my fourth week of recovery and I feel so much better. After my first post-op visit, I thanked Dr. Reiter for taking such excellent care of me. I also thanked his staff Brian, Alex, and Denise. They are such a great team!

This is the second time Dr Reiter has been my spinal surgeon and both surgeries have been excellent. I also have to say his PA Brian was so knowledgeable in all aspects of my care. I would be remiss in not mentioning the excellent and efficient Alex who welcomes you to the office.

Doctor Reiter is the most thorough and decent man I've ever met. People like him only come once in a lifetime so if you're smart you'll make him yours.Thank you now and forever for giving me peace.

After experiencing chronic pain for more than 25 years, 100% of my nerve pain is gone thanks to Dr. Mitchell Reiter. He is always smiling, kind, and spends time answering questions and concerns. His bedside manner is unparalleled. His office staff are sweet and helpful. Everyone at the surgery center made me feel comfortable, as they knew how anxious I was about the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Reiter and his team if you are in need of spine surgery.

Dr. Reiter is an excellent Surgeon. I came is barley walking with the worst sciatic nerve pain. I was in excruciating pain for like 2 month and I've done everything you can think of meds, epidural inj, therapy and more. I had a L5 - S1 Large left sided extruded disc herniation compressing and posteriorly displacing the left descending S1 nerve root. Point blank I needed surgery. Dr Reiter performed a Laminectomy and Discectomy procedure. I have to say that when I woke up from surgery right away I felt and knew there was a difference. I am 8 month post surgery and I have to say I am better than I ever was. Thank you Dr. Reiter for relieving me of this horrible pain I was in. His assistant was great as well he told me how great the Doctor was and how the surgery would be beneficial for me. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and doctor's. God Bless you all!

Dr. Reiter was fantastic reviewing my old and new MRI with the lower spinal issues I have. He explained all correction options for my spinal issue, other specialists involved, possible side effects, recovery time and PT that is involved. I plan on scheduling my next steps for surgery.

Dr. Reiter and team have been excellent to work with. Dr. Reiter took the time to evaluate me condition, address my concerns and provided a plan of action to assist me with my back issues. Dr. M. Reiter and his entire team of staff have always been some of the most professional and helpful we have encountered in a medical office when treating our family. Not to mention Dr. Reiter has performed x2 successful back surgeries on my husband. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Reiter is an exceptional surgeon and person. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and an active listener. I have had two surgeries performed by Dr. Reiter. He always attempted conservative treatments prior to surgery, which is not always the case with surgeons. As patients and consumers of healthcare services, we want to know that we are making the best decisions possible. Especially when it comes to surgery. I had lumbar laminectomy surgery with Dr. Reiter in August 2020 at Overlook hospital for a severely pinched sciatic nerve and I can tell you that it was the best decision that I could make for myself. After a careful and thorough review by Dr. Reiter of my symptoms, x-rays, MRI's , physical assessment and the previous conservative measures that I tried (pain injections and physical therapy), Dr. Reiter made a definitive diagnosis as to what was causing my chronic pain and we decided that surgery was the best option for me if I wanted to regain my quality of life and optimal activity level. As an operating room nurse and healthcare provider, I can tell you that Dr. Reiter is well trained and has many years of experience treating the adult spine. Dr. Reiter's surgical outcomes are outstanding. As a patient of his, I can tell you that Dr. Reiter is a compassionate provider, extremely professional, and takes as much time as necessary to thoroughly explain your condition and in easy to understand manner. Additionally, Dr. Reiter and his very professional and efficient office staff will provide a seamless coordination of your care. I would also like to thank his office practice nurse Alex and his Physician's Assistant Brian for their thorough, professional and compassionate care. I am almost 8 weeks post surgery and I feel great. My sciatic pain is gone and I am working on strengthening and toning my core muscles through physical therapy to regain my optimal activity level. I look forward to exercising and traveling again..............but now without pain. I would also like to acknowledge Overlook hospital for its outstanding nursing care from pre-admission testing, admitting, then pre-op to intra-op to post-op. I could not have asked for a better surgical experience, especially during a pandemic. Thank you all.
