MIchael Schmidt's Online Review Report Card

My appointment for an endoscopy was re-scheduled 30 minutes before my arrival time via text not even a phone call. When I reached the office to find out the issue, I was poorly addressed and I was told that Dr was not there, to take it or leave it.....I"m still in shock, never encountered anything like this with a Dr's procedure.

Great doc, patient, empathic, great bedside manner.

I been seeing Dr. Schmidt from when I was a teenager. Great doctor, very caring, very smart and will take great care of you.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schmidt’s for many years. He has always listened carefully & asked probing questions to get to the issue. Compassionate, and professional. Thank you, Dr. Schmidt!

Compationate and Professional. 5 star staff, they work like a true team. i was more than anxious however they all made me feel like everything is going to be ok. Dr. Schmidt talked to me like we were having a true conversation and he listened with detail, respect and understanding. I can't say enough good things about this office. They are patient, caring, kind and competent.

The whole family has been going to dr Schmidt for many years and we have very good experience each time.

Not happy with this place today. Waited an hour in a half & was never called in. 49 minutes after a scheduled appointment. I understand the doctor gets busy, but why give an appointment time when you can't seem to control the scheduling of patients. Lost one pt! Of course it doesn't matter, because people, patients are just another number, another insurance claim, another dollar!!!!! Btw, your receptionist should be a little more polite!

comprehensive review of procedure and results.

Went for a routine colonoscopy. First had a consultation meeting. Staff from reception to nursing to scheduling was excellent. Great text/email/portal system. Appointment was on time, easy to talk to, and he understood historical issues I had. Set up appointment. One small issue office a bit backlogged for procedures. Got an appointment 6 weeks out. I asked if they maintained a list for cancellations, and they did. Received a call a few days later offering me a spot only 12 days away from my initial consultation. He recommends Plenvu a newer prescription bowel prep. They set up delivery of it to my home, with a $50 co-pay card from the mfg. It works well, requires much less fluid consumption but the taste may be off putting to some. Went for procedure office is on a different floor. Again staff was excellent (efficient and very nice). Appt. was on time. Couldn't have been more pleased. After Dr. spoke to me of results, and I was on my way home in less than 2 hours.

I must agree with a previous review that explained Dr. Schmidt's "horrible doctor/patient interaction " I felt he did not take sufficient time after my procedure to explain the results. He seemed in a rush to get to the next patient as it was quite busy. If he was honest he would have just said: "See ya... next - gotta make some more money. I don't care how many questions you have, your 5 minutes of explanation is up."
