My appointment scheduled four months ago, gets canceled last minute (three days before the date) due to the physician's emergency. No apologies offered, now the earliest possible appointment is two months away, with a different physician in the same office. Blame the pandemic for all kinds of delays and emergencies but it shows when a facility cares about patients' health and well-being and makes them top priority. As a woman in my late 60s, I expect all OB/GYNs to have much higher compassion, reliability and standards of service, because our rapidly 'changing' health is in their hands.

The Teaneck office was awesome! Front desk courteous and waiting time less than 5 minutes. Nurses polite and easy to talk with. Dr Barcia was wonderful. Great bedside manner, took her time to listen to me and explained everything to me in detail. Gentle touch and very pleasant. Love her!

Dr Barcia rush into the appointment. I was pregnant and when I went to my 2nd appointment she saw the ultrasound, took me to the office and told me 95% sure is miscarriage. No explanation, information, never told me what to expect and told me to make an appointment for 4 days later. I felt like she brush me off. Won’t recommend her.

I am 31 year old and have been seen by about 15 different OBGYN because I suffer from agonizing pelvic pain. None of my previous doctors were able to diagnosed nor treat my illness. Dr. Barcia Peña is very proactive, personal, professional and most importantly knowledgeable. She has been treating me for about a year and half now and has transformed my life. Dr. Barcia diagnosed my endometriosis and has been working closely with me to find the best treatment options. My quality of life is better because of her. She truly is the BEST there is.

While I appreciated the fact that Dr. Barcia-Pena took the time for a consultation with me about my history prior to examining me, she was dismissive about concerns I raised regarding PCOS symptoms, wouldn't give me STD tests I wanted because she said those conditions "were rare, and unnecessary to test for," and completely missed an issue I had that was evident with just a physical exam. She told me that I couldn't have PCOS because my periods had always been regular in the past, but that has absolutely zero bearing on whether PCOS has developed recently as a pre-diabetic condition. That's like telling someone they don't have heart disease just because they used to play football in high school. It's just nonsensical. I felt she was disinterested and dismissive, never mind the fact she's booked for several months out, which is unhelpful if one needs to see her for anything other than an annual checkup. Do not recommend.

She is personal, professional and most importantly knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable throughout the whole visit and patiently answered all of my questions. She truly is the BEST there is.
