List of Nikunj P. Mehta's Reviews
Dr. Nick Mehta and his staff are outstanding. Dr. Mehta and his team answer all questions and are very knowledgeable. They truly care about their patients. I am very pleased and happy with the service I receive.
I called Dr Mehta's office for an appointment to get my Metformin HCL refilled for my diabetes they said they will call me back .I received a call from Dr Mehta himself saying he was retiring and I should find another doctor never giving me my medication my feet are turning purple right now and I'm in a lot of pain.I tried to find another PCP but there is a 3 month wait .I will lose my toes or feet ...
Awesome doctor. Shows concern with keeping patients healthy. Explains things so the patient can understand what’s going on. He has also set me up with specialists in other fields. Staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you Dr Mehta .
Not the worst, but not a good doctor. First, my husband & I wanted a doctor that would actually listen to our family history & our medical history & send us for the relevant tests. He didn't. He did give my husband basic bloodwork, but didn't check some routine things like prostate (for a man my husband's age not to get that bloodtest and with a family history of that? that's negligence). Then for me, to send me for tests that I don't need and to label me as being a super high risk for cancer when that isn't reflected in my family or personal history? I have to wonder if he was thinking of another patient? Add to that he's listed as being a cannabis certifying doctor. I asked this specifically when making the appointment, but when I arrived and spoke with the PA-- she said no. He personally considers medical cannabis nonsense-- from his attitude when I asked him about it. Furthermore, I made the appointment for myself and my husband. Routinely we go in to speak with the doctor together to help if there are any memory issues regarding history, symptoms, etc. The office acted like it was highly irregular and refused to allow me in the room when the history was being taken for my husband and vice versa. I understand for the actual exam-- but when taking the history? Not a good doctor. Not thorough. Zero bedside manner. Zero sense of humor. Do not waste your time.
Literally worst doctor I have ever met. He is hungry for money and Co-pays. He will mail a co-pay bill randomly, making you think you need to pay him. After my grandma came home from breaking her hip which made her homebound, he refused to refill her prescriptions until she came into the office. He continued to harass her over the phone until I stepped in. Finally she went to another doctor, but he would still call the house to ask when she’s coming in and would not accept no for an answer. I’m disgusted with his behavior.
Has been our family Dr for years. Also have referred friends as well and they all love Dr. Mehta. Very accommodating, Not quick to jump to conclusions, takes his time with all of his patients. Office staff is very friendly as well. Hope he doesnt retire any time soon!
BEWARE!!! This guy does not care about you, he cares about how much he can bleed out of the Medicare system. Nothing but a heartless...
Easy to get appt. Schedules too many at same time. Rushed at times. Staff turnover is high. Looking for new primary Dr.
Books appointments all at the same times can never get out of the office and can never get a word in or tell him what is bothering you .I couldn't breath for 5 year all he was doing was giving out inhalers and my breathing was getting worse .He finally sent me to a heart doctor I had 3 blocked arteries I could have died in that 5 year time.
9 years ago I relocated to Tom's River from Monmouth County. While in Monmouth County I had sever stomach cramps and pain mid abdominal, went to the hospital and the ER doctor tried to tell me it was gas and kept giving NE morphene. I walked out, and forgot about the pain. That next month I was in TR, went to community and needed a new doctor, Dr. Mehta found me, he,also found my issue was my gallbladder, he ran test, and I had it removed. While all other dr'so failed he saved my life. He is A++

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
