I met Dr. Kumar last year. He was the only rheumatologist who was willing to help me with my hand issues. I suffer with severe arthritis in both hands. He listened to my concerns and respected my limitations and worked hard to help me. My kidney issues limited how he was able to help me but we found a workable solution to my problem. He is an answered prayer and his staff is awesome, kind and amazing. I highly recommend him to everyone!!! He is a fantastic doctor!!!

Dr Kumar has been a life saver for me. He is straight to the point & extremely kind & caring. I’m upset at the low review he has rec’d, I almost didn’t go to him, thank God I overlooked it. Michele, his nurse is awesome & extremely caring. The only thing I can think of, as to why the low review is when u first meet him, he comes off a bit stuffy, he is far from it, he is just good at what he does & with all I’ve been going through, he really wants u to be at ease. Also, I read about his past office (workers), well I have found the entire staff kind & seem like they r happy working there. I’m not one for reviews, after all the drs I’ve been to & even left due to office staff having me walk out feeling upset (many who do not belong in the medical field), I’m extremely friendly & positive, considering my issues & do not need to go to dr that when walking out, I’m crying. So, with all that being said, a Consummate Professional in my book, as well as Michele! Thank you for always making me feel at ease.

Dr. Kumar is a wonderful doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond to help everyone feel better. His office staff is really nice and helpful as well. They are always friendly and have bright, positive attitudes. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and Ocean Rheumatology!

When I was first diagnosed with GCA I had a very difficult time finding a Rheumatologist have me as a new patient. I would have had to wait at least 2 mos to get an appointment. My PC recommended 2. Same thing. After initially going to ER when I was first diagnosed I had to get immediate care. I googled Doctors and was satisfied with reviews and experience level of Dr. Kumar. When I called the office, I think my desperation was evident in my voice. I was told I might have to wait for appointment. But the young woman did not dismiss me and said Jennifer would call me back. When I hung up, I thought for sure that she would not call me back. She did and I had appointment same week. This GCA is new to me and being a woman with excellent health my entire life this has been difficult. I have many questions. Dr. Kumar is calm and I trust his experience with this condition.Soon I will be on Acemptra. No guarantees but I am hopeful. I find the staff efficient and available when I ask questions or when I call. Happy I made that first phone call.

Dr Kumar and his staff are excellent. I was seeing a orthopedic who did nothing for my arthritis (said it was untreatable) and Dr Kumar gave me a prescription and in 2 days swelling was gone and I was able to move my hands pain free. Jennifer and Trina have been very accommodating with appointments and rescheduling if needed. Everyone very helpful and knowledgeable.
