Dr. Hartwells receptionist s rude and arrogant.She told me that t dr. wouldn't see my fiancee because she had a Vertiflex procedure done and he never heard of it.I find this very hard to believe as the procedure is well known in spinal-surgical disciplines areas.She just wanted to end the phone call and didn't speak to Dr Hartwell at all.Dr. Hartwell is a well respected spinal sugeon but unfortunately she shouldn't be employed by him!!!!!!

This Doctor is Amazing. After going to several doctors including a big orthopedic place in Brick, NJ and institute affiliated in PA and Egg Harbor, I was told that I needed injections and to just deal with the fact that I have spinal/back issues. Dr Hartwell reviewed my MRI and found a tumor growing, removed the tumor in a 6 hr surgery and I have been walking and jogging like crazy for 4 yrs now, they all had the same MRI and missed the Tumor/mass. If I had listen to the other doctors the tumor./mass would have continued to grow and I would be crippled right now.. Thank you for caring and being as good as you are....

MY HUSBAND JIM WENT TO SEE DR. HARTWELL TODAY.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ WE BOTH FOUND HIM TO BE VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND ALL FACETS OF JIM'S VISIT. HIS STAFF WAS SUPER!!! WE WILL BE PLEASED TO GO TO JIM'S FOLLOW UP WITH THIS DOCTOR!!! JIM AND DIANE

this doctor has the rudest woman answering the phone. She refused to help me and just hang up on me while I was speaking. Who would like to be attended by a physician who hasn't had the even realized that his employees doesn't have the slightest manners and customer service skills?

MRI's prior to the accident show the Cspine in tact & healthy, MRI's after the accident show 3 herniated and or budging discs Dr Hartwell wrote in his report there isn't anyway to prove the injuries are from the accident. Really???!! Then why did the other doctors make note that the injuries in the Cspine is in fact from the accident? Does Dr Hartwell lack that much common sense, knowledge and or did he confuse me with another patient? In my opinion Dr Hartwell wrote his report in favor of the company/person who paid him to evaluate me. Now I need surgery on my Cspine and it will not be covered by insurance due to the biased opinion of Dr Hartwell.

Diagnosed a tumor that was missed for years. After treatment totally recovered. Never had a doctor spend so much time with me. He really listens and makes sure you understand exactly what is going on. He is like a miracle worker.

Probably the most intelligent doctor I've ever been too. Very compassionate and caring. Should be more like him.

Dr Hartwell was quick & evasive with answers. I spent more time in his waiting room than I did being examined. Try to ask him questions he just hurried me out the door stating "I will put it all in a report". He is an incompetent dr unable too see clearly in black & white, MRI's prior to accident show absolutely no damage, mri's after accident shows 3 herniated discs. Yet this moron stated it can't be proven the injuries are from the accident.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO IMPRESSED WITH A DOCTOR. FROM HIS KNOWLEDGE TO HIS BEDSIDE MANNER. THERE SHOULD BE MORE DOCTORS LIKE DR HARTWELL
