Steven Schiebert's Online Review Report Card

I came into the Manalapan office for my appointment and was seen by a PA instead of dr. Steven Shiebert. I specifically scheduled the appointment with the doctor and waited for a week to be seen. The PA was a nice girl, but I could’ve been seen by a PA in any urgent care and not waiting for a week for the appointment. When I contacted the main office, I was told that every patients is seen by PA, and only following an MRI ( if ordered), I would be seen by the doctor. Seeing a PA is not the same as seeing a doctor with years of training and experience. Nobody notified me an advance that in this practice a patient is not seen by a doctor before an MRI. I am pregnant, so MRI is not an option for me at this time. It makes it more important for me to be seen by a specialist vs PA.

I interviewed at least 4 different orthopedic doctors and chose Dr Katzman simply because of what he had offered me.  Outpatient surgery, minimally invasive and he went 4 levels deep meaning that he took care of 4 herniated/bulging discs, bone spurs on facets and ligament overgrowth all on the left side of my spine L1-S1.  Had broken my femur due to unknown reasons the year before in 2019 and had a rod inserted and in researching how the femur could have broken, came to the conclusion that it was my gait and weight put on the femur.When I interviewed Dr Katzman, he had guessed that I had at least 3 herniated/bulging discs along with the bone/ligament overgrowth.  All of the other doctors didn't possess the intuition that Dr Katzman portrayed and they all wanted to do traditional spinal surgery with fusion, plates and screws.  Well I was having none of that since the rod in my leg was more than enough.  The MRI prior to surgery showed 5 herniated/bulging discs.So the entire procedure was done as I had been told and was up and walking about normally the next day.  Yes my gait has changed again but with baseline issues being resolved I don't think broken bones will be in my future.Dr Katzman is a brilliant surgeon.  I'd recommend and use him in a heartbeat for any spinal issues

They provide the car transportations to the Ambulatory Surgery Center from the motel room and back on the day of the surgery.  At the center the first time I met him, he was very nice and professional with me and said that he will take care of me. I highly recommend that Dr. Katzman is one of the best specialist. Thank you so much for help me when the other Doctor I saw in Charleston South Carolina  and Augusta Georgia would not help me.  Thank you

All this is actually VERY accurate except for the fact that my surgeon was Dr Shiebert!! Never met the other guy!! WTF?? I've had an awesome result from Dr. Schiebert in September 13th to today... December 6th
