There were 3 of us with the same appointment times waiting in the tiny office. The exam room was very dark and I was unsure how the doctor could even see what he was doing- which was clipping a tiny toenail. I was not examined as to why I have pain walking. It was not the toenail. He squirted my foot with alcohol which dripped all over the exam room floor as he had not put a basin or even a towel under my raised foot. I left limping.

I saw Dr. Patel for an ingrown toenail. What he did the first time didn't work and I went back. In the meantime I had received a letter from my primary care doctor that they hadn't received a report from Dr. Patel, and when I went back I saw a notice in the waiting room that he charges $50 for reports. The receptionist made me buy a box containing saline spray, gauze pads, a protective gel, and band-aids. None of the items in the box were mentioned in the after-care instructions. Also during that visit Dr. Patel cut my nail way down into the nail bed on the other side, where he had no business cutting because there was no problem there. Less than three weeks later I had to see a (different) podiatrist because the nail on that side had become ingrown and infected. On his way out of the exam room Dr. Patel threw his gloves on the floor, which seemed very disrespectful of his staff, and I had to walk around them on my way out.
